Oooh are those the newer insoles in the Louie's? I know they switched insoles at some point after they launched his shoe, similar to how Vans switched from Ultra to Pop. How do they feel cushion-wise compared to Lunarlon if you've had both? (I miss lunarlon insoles :'( lol)
Love that colorway of the Louie! Unfortunately, Cons are too narrow and thin for me nowadays.

yeah, you’re right about them switching but I am almost sure these are the revised insole. Took the pic w them out for that purpose. For a vulc they feel good w the stock insole to me. Think the forefoot has a bit more cushion than the pop/ultracush. The width doesn’t bother me, you can see the top down how the upper opened up for me. Size 12 (Half down) is good too, same size in Rowan’s but those bother my toes after a while but I prob should’ve gotten those in a 13

I loved the original white and black pairs (bought multiple, zoom air insole?), but didn’t like the new insole I found on the light blue ones. Hope it’s because I’m skating harder  :)

I might keep them as a longboarding pair, they're too nice to scratch up.

Any shoe with Popcush/Ultracush is an ankle roll waiting to happen. Stick with AVEs or Berles imo

Weird, Im wearing a pair of rowans and have 2 pairs on ice because of how stable they feel around the ankles. Like they box them in quite unlike other non midtop shoes. I guess they compliment my feet type well.

I also found the rowans to be quite comfortable and stable on my feet. Interesting to see other people’s experiences with them.

I've skated at least 5 pairs of Kwalks, a couple Gilbert's, Cab pros, Sk8-Hi pro, and some Epoch pros (all with Ultracush) and I never once felt like they were ankle-roll territory. I find them to be quite stabilizing if laced properly and not too low of a cut on their collar.
Maybe it feels different from person to person though?

I've always felt all the pros feel super odd on foot... Like putting a t-bone steak underneath your feet. I just always get the classics and put a thin insole on top of the old one and it feels great.

This. For sure pro authentics fit sucks. Unless they changed them recently, the heel lock is nonexistent. Regular ones fit like a glove.

My good friend has this issue, namely with the authentic/era pros. I have been skating authentic pros for the past year and have not had this issue. I have recently been rotating authentic pros and classic authentics to switch it up slightly. Pros definitely keep their shape longer.

My other pal has been skating the Rowan's and he loves them.

Yea, damn. See I guess it’s just how everyone’s feet are shaped differently and preference. Some people skate with their shoes so loose, they fly of every time they do something. Not sure how people do the loose shoes thing.

Got these Emerica Dickson shoes yesterday and they're nice. I wasn't sure how they would fit but they run true to size and offer a heel anchor system which cups your heel and makes it feel really secure. I usually have problems with heel slip but these feel good and secure. There is a different tread on the bottom that looks great. It kind of reminds me of the Non-slip desert grip that was on the Herman 2's. I look forward to skating in these and seeing how they hold up. The rubber flick shield under the toe cap makes me think they'll last a while although I go through the soles faster than the flicking area. Give these shoes a shot if you're interested cause at $65 they definitely give you your moneys worth.

I just got a pair of Dicksons this week as well. Walked around in them throughout the week and skated them for the first time yesterday for 2 or 3 hours. Shoe felt super solid IMO

I typically hate skating vulcs but the G6 insole is pretty solid and had good support, so i couldn't complain at all. This is the first vulc i've skated in the last few years that felt pretty solid. Overall fit is good and the heel tab functional so im stoked. Would definitely recommend

The white/black cw looks really decent. First emerica in forever I’ve wanted.

I’m wearing these super suede DC Legacy Slims around the house to break them in before skating them. The layers are perfectly glued and blended together perfectly, and seem thicker than the regular Legacy Slims. They claim they’re vacuum molded, but I’m not entirely sure what that means

what size are those? Can’t get down w the flat and elongated tongue shape I keep seeing with DC and overall silhouette on those, looks like a duck bill. Could be different in person. That’s nice for seam blow outs though. Cushion good?

I think it means that the toe is one piece of suede molded to look like that. So no seams

Those are 10’s. The sole felt really thick the first few days I skated my first pair, but I’m used to it now. The tongue doesn’t flair out too crazily when you wear them. The other two pairs I’ve skated have held up fairly well and lasted longer than I expected. I flip my board almost as much now as I did when I was in my early 20’s peak

Saltusnaut: I thought it was one piece at first, but you can see the glue where the suede is pressed together, plus the stitch in the middle of the wing. Maybe they compress the hell out of it inside a vacuum bag with a last in the shoe? The only thing that pops up in a google search is some Italian shoe designer making shoes out of recycled plastics

They felt good around the ankles because the collar of the shoe is higher than most Vans. It's the insole for me, I feel like my heel sits too high in Rowans, thats why I feel like rolling my ankle when theyre on foot.

Yeah, those are the newer insoles. I've had a few pairs of this shoe and the launch colorways (black and white suede) had the Zoom ones. I prefer the newer ones because they just seem more supportive in general. I've had a few other Cons models that all had the newer rubber insole as well.

Does anyone know why they stopped using Lunarlon? Did anyone actually dislike it? It was the best insole I've had my entire life but since they switched I won't touch Cons anymore.

That “glue” is just the lines were the mold presses the suede and creates the raised effect. Those are 100% 1 only suede toe piece.
The lines are there just for looks.

Started skating the newer Superstar ADV, and I'm very surprised as I wasn't expecting much.
I didn't like the Campus ADV much at all and it didn't fit great, but the Superstar heel is much higher so it has much better lock. I think they will last a long time, although I just skated them for a 2nd time and blew through the 1st stripe completely.

This is before/after first sesh for about 45 minutes.

Edit: My 1000th post! Is this Pal status or do I need to be voted in? It only took me 9 years to get here...
