The Canonet is fucking dope but in order for the light meter to work, you have the voltage converted for different batteries(cheap fix). It normally uses mercury batteries that aren't available in most countries.
Explain how one does that please. I have one, and I hate the fact that the light meter doesn't work, I can only shoot in auto mode so I basically can't do shit with it.

why don't you just buy a separate hand-held light meter? it can actually make shooting from the hip easier, cause then your not letting everyone know that your taking a picture cause you aren't holding it up to your face.

Yes. If you're shooting black and white in pretty consistent lighting, just buy the separate hand held (or download an app if you have the phone for it), set the aperture and shutter and shoot away "from the hip". Set an aperture that gives you a great DOF if the light allows it and use the distance scale to focus.

Oh, I bought this today.

yeah man, i'm not usually one to order clothing, but high five is such a sick company. the shirt is genius too.

only downside is i had to order it from some random snowboarding website, because my local shop sold out and i refuse to pay thirty seven dollars to get it straight from high five. i'm not really sure who's the asshole in that scenario.

Krooked Krossbones Crew

Saw this hat on sale also, luckily it wasn't my size cause it was just dumb enough for me to almost wan't to buy it. Plus I hate the way beanies make my hair all flat and static.

take what small comfort there may be left

came up on so much stuff over the past week or so.

post season and superbowl is the time to hit up the Savers. Raiders crew for 6 bucks, 49ers stripecuff crew with pitrivets for 8, and an old army button up with a worn patch mark of what i think must have been a "star of david" patch for 5. I've missed owning an army green button up ever since my last one got stolen at a house party back east.

Cowboys snapback. Ok, so Romo Blowmo's. Don't care. if it has a green underbrim, costs less than 10 bucks, and looks like it came from the 90's without being fucked up, I'm buying it.

Found this cabinet with a built in light for 70 bucks at a salvation army. Its going to be perfect for this project I'm working on with my shop. They're gonna let me make customized, original, unique, 1 of a kind designs on boards and sell them as wall art/ride-able decks. They'll be priced the same as any other board, so I'm not going to be making very much money on this venture. It is however going to help motivate me to crank out more work and expand my portfolio. Can't fucking wait to get this ball rolling. (if you want to see some of my older stuff, check out the DIY boards thread)

to go in the cabinet and keep the whole thing looking fresh. Shop owner had some extras in the back and sold'em to me on the cheap.

Element Retro Trucks. I know, Element, the worst.
But, they're basically mini trucks for the mini cruisers shapes that I sometimes make boards into. smaller sized trucks are hard to find, especially ones that aren't made out of plastic, or cost rediculiously high amounts of money in an ebay bidding war.

Old metal trucks like that are great. I have this one cruiser with these old Continental trucks very similar to the ones you posted. The are the quickest turning trucks I've ever ridden.
