i ordered then online for $50. they should be here tomorrow. i wanted a new everyday shoe, but something that i could skate in if i wanted to. i skate to work every day, but the most i do is ollie curbs. right now im wearing sambas to work and theyre alright, but ive been wearing plain shoes for a really long time and i wanted to try something a little flashier i guess. normally id just get a pair of skate shoes and wear them for a few months before i start skating in them, but skate shoes are all really boring to me right now. i feel like ive had just about everything and want to try something totally new. i kind of hope these skate well though just because the lace system looks perfect for a skate shoe. theyre also supposed to be really light and flexable so we'll see how it goes.

but the logo on mine is red/white and not red/yellow.

Got paid this week. I'm stoked I found a Kayo board that is an 8.5. They don't seem to make a lot of boards that size.

Also found a really nice Starter jacket at the thrift store for 8 bucks.

What is the tail length on that? I am pretty hyped on Exp1 and Organika, but both the 8.25s I've had the tail was really short. If the tail is longer on the 8.5s, I will buy one immediately.

The board hasn't come in the mail yet so I have no idea. I'm cool with pretty much any board shape though as long as it doesn't look stupid. I just need my boards to be 8.38 or bigger.

Ah ok, I hear you on the width of boards. I guess that's how I am for tail lengths.

They're pretty cheep everywhere online. I got mine from zappos. Go at least a half size, maybe even a full size up if you're going to get a pair. I have a pair of sambas in size 9 and they fit fine, but I got these in a 9.5 and they're really tight. Fairly comfortable and a good amount of padding for how light and thin they are. The only part I don't like is that the part that comes up on your Achilles is pretty high and stiff and it's not super comfortable at first. I haven't really gotten to skate in them, I'll probably wait until they're really worn in and my actual skate shoes need to be replaced, but I've cruised around in them and did some Ollies and they seem fine.
