I've noticed lately that all the magazines have been running articles letting Sheckler defend himself, i wonder if Danny Way has been telling the mags that if they don't do articles that maybe they won't get invited to cover the next triple lindy jump hes going to do or whatever.
i also think that Dannny defends Sheckler a lot cuz he was possibly the same Kook  when he was younger he just had smarter people around him (i.e. Mike Ternasky, Steve Rocco) to hide that shit instead of put it out there for everyone to see.

The mags certainly aren't running the interviews because they think "poor Ryan Sheckler is misunderstood, lets give him a voice."
By the time the third interview came out, it was already clear that he had a chance to defend himself.
Skateboarding is the new teenie bopper shit, our own mags have sold out the guys who are in it for life, and have tastes, for lame ass little kids who might not even skate. Cool!

when i got my skateboard mag i was so bummed there was a huge interview on sheckler. i was even more bummed when i saw that nieratko backs sheckler throughout the whole interview. i also heard singleton backs him in some ways too. i could see danny way paying people like nieratko and singleton to vouch for sheckler.

Based on what I see at my job (8th grade teacher), that scene has already started to die. Last year all the kids worshipped the ccs catalog and everyone wore black label and habitat shirts and skate shoes. Now you might see the occasional enjoi shirt or whatever, but nothing like last year or the year before that. Of course, this might differ depending on one's region.

I've been wondering how much mentoring DWay's been giving Shecks.
Danny used to get so much hate from the 1st & 2nd generation vert skaters.
I'm sure it was a huge motivating factor for him.
But I agree that what shecks is doing is on another level of gayness and sillyness.
