I only heard good things about Sony a7, big sensor sounds very nice too.
Amazing stuff you guys and also thanks for the input. So I've gotten it down to 3 possible cameras, the sony a7, fujifilm xt1, and the olympus omd 1. Has anyone shot with any of these and can provide some insight.

I feel like each camera has their pros and cons. Also the range of the iso is a big plus since I'd love to start shooting more in the night.

I hiked the circle trail too. Didn't know it was so short. I was trying to shoot near where the waterfall falls off even if there were signs but it looked sketch when getting closer. I don't know how you shot Burney Falls without any tourist in it. I am not sure if you noticed it (you've had to though) but there was an abundant amount of Indian and Asian tourist there. I know we Asians flock everywhere but had no idea where all these Indian tourist came from.

I love the colors and the contrast with the surrounding darkness.I never messed with my camera's flash much because I'm more a fan of daytime/nature light, but this past Friday I decided to go out and toy around with it. I got curious and took a few photos of lights, and I really like how they turned out.
