It's really nice to see that Antwuan is getting some extra $$$ with some serious work while not skateboarding

I was talking to you.  And it was a compliment.

You and the D00D have turned this thread into a horrible head-on-collision between a short bus full of regular kids and a van full of paraplegics.

i always feel confident about my pictures until i look at this thread
Other people's photos always look better than your own, with your own photos you see every single detail that could've been better.
You're always your own worst critic I guess

Bay To Breakers:

I always want to do that to my black and white photos, put one part in colour but I do not know how to do it. The only way I think how I could do it is to cut out pieces and photoshop it back on the black and white photo. But that method would probably impossible in this picture, how did you do it ? is there some easy photoshop effect or something , (I don't have photoshop yet, could probably download it)

Lauwie138 - Yeah...that was with the Canonet. Fucking shot a whole roll at that thing and got 2 clear photos. I was using 400 speed film but I guess I just suck at adjusting shots with the focus on the camera. I sharpened it a bit in photoshop but other then that, it is how it turned up when I got it back from Wallgreens.

And about the Bay 2 Breaker spot color photo...I did actually do it the way you described it. I had 2 layers in photoshop (1 in color and 1 in b/w) and just erased the color parts to show the black and white photo. It was actually pretty easy to cut out just cause the photo had a lot of black and whites to it already like the walls and the street. If it is too hard, I won't even attempt to do it but this one wasn't too bad.

Some new, some old, random cameras (some are too big for Slap so you might have to view alone):

Philly... been a few times, Philly area pals have a great city.

Manhattan from the Empire State Building. I'm tinkering with an interactive/navigational panorama view and this is one of the pics. It's weird when you're on street level and you're unable to see a horizon anywhere. Epic place that I really want to go back to, my wife and I only covered half of Manhattan but we wanted to hit Brooklyn and the restaurant in Harlem that Bill O'Reilly and Al Sharpton ate at but there was too much shit to kill time with.

Ellis Island... stoked on being there because all of my grandparents passed through here (in different years). The museum is sick, and going into the Statue of Liberty was one of the most informative things (tours) I've ever experienced. History geeks would eat it up for sure.

This is a meeting at NSF in Arlington, VA with a bunch of scientists and mathematicians trying to make a case to get a lot of money for a really cool program that is trying to find evidence of gravitational waves. They got the money, and the program is killer (LIGO - Livingston).

My friend Kerry on the left and my friend Randy on the right as we were finishing up cleaning a permission-pool on some property that was being flipped. The top of the brown line was water, the bottom brown line was the top of the sludge (many hundreds of pounds). Also a few hundred catfish because the pool was next to a pond that floods a lot. We had this to ourselves for a month, as per the deal... thing was fucking gnarballs.

I like frogs and I'm hyped I happened to be shooting when I found this one.

Freedom!

Kerry during his Presidential campaign.

Hallway of the Flamingo Hotel/Casino in Vegas. This place is why Bugsy Siegel was killed by his own mafia homebways.

I need some help. I just received my canonet 28 in the mail and it's ready to go, the only thing is that there's no mercury battery in it. I've read a manual and the battery they show as an example looks like a regular flat round battery you'd find everywhere. I'm not at all sure if it's the right one, so I'm not gonna put it in yet. Can someone tell me what kind of battery I can use and where to get it ?
thanks

Just go to your nearest photography shop and they'll known what you need and have it for a few euro's.

Oh and I support that Slap Pal Flickr group! I'd say invite only and you just have to give your name on slap and you're in.

Lauwie.....I know I sent you a message about this whole issue but I am using a PX625A battery. I think it literally cost like $3-$4 but like I said, it messes up the whole light meter on manual. I say just shoot on A and then hope for the best and maybe fix in photoshop. Good luck.
