Wow. One of the coolest Lomos to come out. You know I have a love for panos and this is just dope. I know you can do this with a iPhone app but something about actually doing this on film just makes it better. I am getting one for sure.

I've always been a fan of lomos, but since a year I'm really into clean shit. concept and idea first, then a clean and well thought shot. my thing these days I guess. sebastian toombs teached me, I guess.

oh, I'm getting a eos 30d/20d these weeks as a light meter ... checking out the flashes and whatnot. my first digital camera ever.

Got my first roll of film developed. Didn't really put a lot of effort in taking decent photos yet, just wanted to start to get used to the lightmeter and other functions from my camera first. Check how the focus and exposure works and turns out on the actual photo before actually trying to make "beautiful" photos. Anywho, I've got everything figured out now, I only need to get used to the framing of my pictures since i'm not shooting with a reflex cam anymore.
Shot with Canonet 28:
(better stuff coming up, hopefully)

Like I said, not used to the framing yet

one of theses epson v750pro. it's still not close to a 15.000 dollar scanner, but it's nice enough for the stuff I'm doing.

I'm going to have to invest in one soon. I've been paying for prints and then just doing flatbed office scanner scans, which is more costly than it needs to be.

Did anyone get around to making a Flickr group?

Have you looked into the Hasselblad Xpan? It's the only camera that offers 24x36 and full frame 24x65 panoramic photos. They're a bit pricey, but if panoramic photos are your thing, it's totally worth it.

^^^damn...that Hasselblad Xpan is about $4000. I guess I'll stick with the cheap lomos for now but that camera does look dope though.

Googled this photo. Example of a shot from the Hasselblad Xpan.

You can find an used Xpan 1 with a 45mm f/2 for about $900-$1100. I borrowed one from a friend and fell in love with it, so i ended up trading my  Nikon F6 and Nikkor 28mm f/2.8 for that same Xpan 1 kit. One of the best decisions I've ever made.

EDIT:
I'll scan some Xpan photos (24x36 and 24x65) when I get to work.

Ok, I just created 'SLAP PALS Photography'.  Message me your email and forum name and I'll invite you.  Sorry, I'm fucking stupid.  You don't need to IM me that info you can just join the group yourself and I'll approve.  I was in a hurry to run out the door so I didn't think.

I have so much film to develop maybe this will get me off my ass.  Gonna do B&W at home I think.

I'll add a photo icon etc later.  Going to see a David Bowie cover band right now.

I'm going to "rent" a Canon 5D MKII for 90 days (buy it from costco and return it before return policy lapses).  I really want to see the difference a full size sensor makes and also want to see if I'm just suffering from G.A.S. (gear acquisition syndrome).

The ISO is insane on that camera...hence why there is no built in flash. Take some night shots and test it out that way and I am sure you won't be disappointed.

Thanks for the tip.  I've gotten some pretty good low light shots from my t1i, but I want to see what this sucker can do.  I'm so hyped to test drive this.  Going to a rodeo tomorrow and hope to get some good shots.
