Have a little interview over here with some stuff. Wish I could have had all new photos for it though but everything is held up with other things.

Fongstarr, keep shooting photos of your cat. Cat photos are always gold.

Finally got my Pentax to work, but some of the film got exposed, compounding on my novice technique.

Sal spoke to my sports and race class. He's not as annoying as he comes off, good stories too.

Good shit man. I had no idea you were only 18 years old. You definitely got a handle on photography. I think what I love about skate photographers is how much they cherish old equipment and use it as good as anyone that has the new and latest camera.

Props man.

Thanks a bunch dude. Yeah, I definitely have a bit of a bias to old cameras and film. Full frame digi's are coming close to replicating "that look", I've even been fooled a few times but they're not completely there yet. I really need to upgrade my digi set up soon to a D700 though. Full frame is calling my name.

It's either that or a 30mm for my blad.

sorry to quote myself but i am trying to improve my photography so would anyone be able to give me constructive criticism?

i will just add my 2cents, i am in no way a good photographer, just stuff i may have done different:

1) i guess u would have used less depth of field, i like blurry backgrounds
2) maybe i would?ve put the skateboarder not so much in the middle (see "rule of thirds")
3,4) a little faster shutter speed maybe, it?s hard to make good photos in skateparks i guess, they often seem kinda dull
5) like it
6) nice scenery, was it shot with a tripod?
7) nice view, but the ground on the right bottom and the buildings kinda distract me.

once again, keep going, i?m kinda new to this too and its so damn entertaining to take pictures.

cheers man, all feedback is very welcome and to answer your question for no.6 no i didnt have a tripod with me then so i had to hold it up against a rail to hold it still

and for no.2, i didnt actually take that one, im the guy in the picture sooo my GF took it, i usually try and abide by the rule of thirds

if you want to have the basic of composition ... read it every time before you go out shooting and then it will affect your pictures in a positive way on the short and on the long term. I didn't know about it in my first years of photography, so it was a nice way to learn about it. it's all about you eye.

or even better ... henri cartier-bresson, here with a nice documentary splitted in some parts.

Lately I'm having more fun taking photos of skating instead of actually skating. I kinda wish I could afford something other than a point and shoot. Still fun tho! Took this one today.

Actually I was using my kit lens from my Nikon D90. I am surprised it even came out that way with the bokeh and all. I think it was just good lighting that allowed for the clear shot.

My neighbor has ducks on her lawn year round because she feeds them and stuff. So they just chill on her lawn all year instead of going to the pond a minute away.

Oh, and here's some photos.
