thats why (even though i only got my K-r a few months ago) i just had to get a film camera, i love both looks so much, the super crispyness of DSLR and the real raw feeling of film

there are still a couple of undeveloped films in my camera bag, can't wait to bring them to the lab.

anyway, glad to see many new posts in this thread.

a friend of mine scanned some of my pictures from the winter. the quality is pretty shitty, but whatever.

hasselbladical are you shooting 120 film for the color?

Those bowl photos that I posted are actually digital but all of the squares on my Flickr are 120.

ive just got one of those, still trying to get through my first roll of film, cant wait to see what it looks like.
as for advice?... the only thing i can think of at the moment is when youre buing film try to get one with an ISO that you commonly use on a DSLR or if youre new to photography just get one with an iso that can be used in many situations, eg.400 and look for an instruction manual online so that you know about the light meter speifications and such

fuck that shit, 400 is garbage. don't ride the fence, either go for the finer grain and potentially longer exposures of a 100 or <, or the grit and lightning fast speeds of 800+.
no body ever made anything of any impact by "playing it safe"

kind of just kidding, but I do kinda hate 400, and always prefer to shoot with 200 or lower.

that's a great shot.  like someone said above, no big "trick" happening but makes skateboarding look fun as hell

Also, having trouble with this photo. On photoshop it appears a lot more saturated than this, but when I upload it to Flickr it appears much more unsaturated, is this just an optical illusion, am i going mad, or is some gnome in the internet fucking with me
