^^^^I forget. Maybe like f/20 and had it open for a good couple of seconds in manul mode. I got some cheap remote for $10 and finally got to keep the camera open longer then it can. I got the white balance pretty nice for the sky. I was actually surrounded by a bunch of photographers and most of the shots that I saw came out yellow. This photo is pretty true to what was in my camera. I got a couple of other photos that I'll post up later with some stars in it. I should have tried do star trails but I got lazy and didn't want to let the camera sit for 5-10 minutes.

brandon a+ - as usual.

edit: I found this nice show on vbs called picture perfect that features some interviews with photographers ... kind of epicly latered style. I guess everybody who is interested in photography should watch it.

thanks for all the stoke, guys.  will be posting some more soon.

that picture perfect show is rad matze, i enjoyed the donald weber and james mollison segments a lot.  i'm sure some of you dig garry winogrand, so here's a talk about his approach along with some of his shots:

gets pretty academic toward the end but is a good watch regardless.

Thanks yo.

I use a Nikon 10.5mm fisheye, 35mm, and the kit lens (18-105mm). Those three pretty much cover all what I need from shooting wide to narrow. As far as the color, I think I spoke about it on here before but it is on a mode called vivid mode which has a decent high saturation. It compliments pics in Hawaii since most things out here are just so colorful.

Here's the last couple of stuff that I edited from my trip:

the place i just moved into has a cozy little garage so i finally had a chance to set up a proper darkroom.  after a ton of cleaning and lots of light sealing with black garbage bags, it's finished.  it's pretty light tight at all times of the day, so i'm stoked.

Damn Brandon, that might be one of the coolest home darkrooms I've ever seen. It's so nice and spacious. I'm gonna be setting one up in my basement bathroom this winter hopefully. It's a pretty good space for one, but it's a little cramped.
