read about it too ... normally I'm whatever if a company goes downhill, but kodak makes my favorite films. guess I'll need to buy myself a new fridge for my 500 rolls of film I must buy at some point ...

So I'm finally learning color darkroom (hyped!) but I haven't really explored much with color so could someone suggest some good 35mm color print films other than stuff like portra and ektar?  I also need some good cheap film so I can shoot a bunch of shitty rolls before I use those fancy ones.  Thank youuu!
With film you usually get what you pay for: a $6 roll will give you better results than a $2 roll.  I prefer Portra, sorry I don't have any new suggestions.

Try to find a pro photographer that has a fridge full of film and/or paper that he will never use.  There's plenty of them out there, lately I've been turning down their offers because I'm well stocked with free film.

I'm contemplating this right now.

Here's some more random stuff that I may or may not have posted already. I can never remember what I've already posted.

Vans East Coast tour this past summer. Dill, Layton, Gilbert, Berle, AVE, Lutheran and Sauder... couldn't let that one pass me by.

Edit: I don't think Elijah was there though, still good.

some of my favourites i've taken over the past few months:

A lot of these are from summer, been strictly digital since octoberish time, but just ordered some b+w film off ebay, never shot in b+w before so quite excited to start taking photos in 35mm again.

this one's sick.  also, get the equipment and chemicals to develop b&w yourself if you haven't already.  pays for itself within a few visits to your local lab and gets you super stoked when you hang the negs up to dry.  a good film scanner can be had for relatively cheap.

more from the XA2 mooley?  love that first portrait.  i was lucky enough to snag an XA3 and an original XA (non-functional until i did some tinkering on it) from my local camera shop for $15.

and herc, i echo cadillac's sentiment.  good stuff!

These are digital, I'm wishing I made use of the XA2 a little more but I didn't have a ton of film with me.

thanks to all. the green-lit house was some kind of church next to a frozen lake where we were riding snowmobiles. saw it from far away, got closer, mounted tripod. i only used some curves to make it a little brighter because it was underexposed overall, was stoked how it turned out.

Walked around the West End of Dallas and "tried" to take some worthy pics. I like buildings a lot, they're fun.

so the fuji ga645zi arrived, but I didn't had too much time to try it out. it took me 5 days to shot a roll. anyway, it's a nice and light camera, just the autofocus sucks a little when you shoot with a tripod. even a classic cable release works with this camera (big plus!). since I'm shooting mostly at night times these days I was a little bummed about the meter inside the camera. the longest shutter (besides bulb) is 2 seconds, which means you cannot meter the light with a 4.5 aperture and a iso 100 film when it's dark. after I shot the role I found a simple trick: just put the camera on iso 1600. with the help of math this allows you to have 30 seconds more ... imagine the camera shows you 2 seconds at iso 1600 and a 4.5 aperture. this would be at iso 800 about 4 seconds, at iso 400 8 seconds, at iso 200 16 seconds and at iso 100 32 seconds .. hopefully I'm right with this one. this will hopefully work. anyway, you can use the camera without a tripod, but better use a faster shutter then 1/45sec. anyway, here I have some random pictures.

then some pics from my hometown and my christmas trip to copenhagen. the little boy is my cousin and he's sweet as hell. oh, and sorry about the dust. way too lazy to use photoshop ...
