This is a great photo. The light on the wall is amazing.
Thanks Crack!

crd, your stuff makes me want to go out at night an shoot. haven't done that the proper way in a year.
Your night exposures are always on point Matze. If you ever find yourself in Baltimore, I'll take you out to shoot "The Greatest City in America" at night.

Its gotten all nasty now, as you can see. Had to spend a while sweeping all the glass off the flat-bottom and throwing away gross things like needles and condoms.

Thanks, man! The project is going somewhat okay.

I've been photographing about 50 hours a week lately which has been good, and also I've found a
place to exhibit (The house of Photography, Oslo, Norway,). Currently processing my film from the past
three months.

Just hoping that everything will solve itself financially so that I can focus on this thing for the next year
and a half.

These are all super sick, but this one stood out especially. I feel like it really captured the vibe of the situation. Makes me want to be by a river drinking a brewski!

Had to share this here I guess. I just ordered this print from 43 Mag in a size 24X30 (Bobby Puleo backside nose grind). So hyped! Got it for a pretty penny though (almost $400) but it helps support 43 Mag and this will be my first photo purchase and will go above my computer desk.

Highly suggest you guys support Allen Ying and he has other more affordable pics online: http://store.43magazine.com

anyone here try mounting photographs to wood and covering the prints in resin? I did a gallery the other night and there were a few artists who's work was presented this way and it looks amazing. I've been going the traditional route using a black (sometimes white) frame and matte but want to try something else since framing really drives up the costs. I'm thinking of practicing on some old prints to get the hang of it and then moving on to larger prints - just not sure what materials to go with ...

Don't want to overload the thread so I'll just put the link to my photo blogspot:

http://woodfriend.blogspot.com/

Been between Berlin, Helsinki, Tallinn, Riga, and Vilnius the past few weeks and taken a good few many photos. Right now I'm staying in an old Soviet flat on the 11th floor overlooking Vilnius which is quite nostalgic yet scary at the same time. I stayed in one once before in Ukraine which was quite interesting as well.

polyurethane works
Poly works, but it would take 50 coats to build up the thickness of resin.  The diffraction from a quarter inch of clear can be quite seductive.
I've done this to a few of my pieces.  It's a pain to do but worth it when done well and infuriating when it doesn't.  PM for tips/advice.

Here's a recent piece, it's 2 unique C-prints of the Atlantic Ocean mounted to MDF and resined, each panel is 8.5x78".  Need to reshoot the documentation, I was just using the gallery lighting and bouncing an off-camera flash.

Some jiu jitsu even my friend hosted this past weekend. Rented a 24-70mm 2.8 L lens but it was just too slow. Got these with the plastic 50mm.
