I drive home on this freeway everyday and thought it might be a cool place to take some photos from so I went on a hunt on how to get to it. When I got up there, someone had cut this hole perfectly in the middle of the freeway for some timelapses or something like that. The line in the sky is an airplane descending into the SD airport.

nice!

Some more of the same bridge stuff. Got to go out since SF closed the bridge and there weren't a ton of people in the city:

Rad. I take it the Bay Bridge Lights were on, and these were a long enough exposure to even that all out? How long an exposure?

And Councilman Doug, nice shots. Liking the lighting and composition a lot...first two are very Twin Peaks!

The bridge had some sort of a light show but there were times where all the lights would just shine at one time. The first one I did with the water all smooth was about 5 minutes long. I got a remote not too long ago so I set my camera on ISO 100 and just shot it for as long as I could to get the water like that. The other 2 were about a little over 40 seconds or so. Pretty happy with the results but my sensor has tons of stuff on it and I had to photoshop tons of stuff out.

I use virb.com; $10/month, good templates, very malleable.  Or google sites is free.  Here's a link to mine, which is well overdue for updates: mattgiel.com

Anymore it doesn't seem unprofessional to use wordpress or tumblr for a creative site, people understand artists are poor and give a pass.  Of course design, content, etc... should transcend the casual/social blog.

I use wordpress.com and bought the CSS option to change things but I really want it on wordpress.org instead but I am not too fancy on getting down on CSS coding all from scratch. My photo site even with me fine tuning it is practically something you can get from a Tumblr site now. Actually I think even Tumblr does a better job but I just don't want to migrate my site to that.

If anyone cares. Pretty much all the photos I put on here anyways: http://fongstarr.com/

Just between the two of us, the pier is actually the beginning of a wall that's supposed to keep those goddamn danes out of Sweden!

Or it might be there to make it easier to launch boats without them being crushed by waves...

Wow wow wow wow... Hold it right there? Half of Copenhagen is overrun with sweedish people, because they all work there? Everybody working a service-job in Copenhagen is sweedish. Damn you, and your good manners.. Stealing our jobs haha!

Good to see this threads killing it as usual!

Just got back from turkey on a holiday with the missus, heres some of my favourite shots from there.

This was when the power went out for the whole town one night, and the stars were just something else.
