Those are great up there. How was it in Kenya? Worth traveling to?
^thanks JB!^

Yeah for sure, beautiful country and a beautiful people. I know it's such a cliche for people to visit a third world country and talk about how humbling it is, but it's so true.
skating is all about choosing your outfit very deliberately, going out in public. looking super sick. and then riding your board a little bit

it was kind of a hookup through a friend, plus i was lucky since they didnt play a show in vienna this time... hopefully this will lead to more chances like that.

simply put, just write every mag you can think about if they want to cover something, sometimes you can get lucky.

Man I love Ektar long exposures so much, the colors come out insanely good. I have a roll in the fridge that I'm saving for when I can get my hands on a tripod and shutter cable.

If you're ever gonna seriously think about it, sooner is better than later.  Since it's all natural and not supported, it will collapse at some point.  And it was definitely sketchy ( but so worth it ) to go all the way to the back of it.  It's just creepy hearing little rocks drop out of the ice or a piece of ice fall, haha.  But when you get to the back it opens up into a "room" that's probably at least 5-6 stories tall and has a hole in the top where you can see the sky.  Oh also depending on the time of the year, there may be a waterfall in the back like this pic I just found via google

Haha basically. It was at a Baltimore festival and I had heard he was walking around. I actually found him in the back of the crowd for Future Islands. Such a humble guy.

Thanks, Fong!

Loving your stuff, as always, Brandon. Your colors are really good, especially in this first one. What kind of film are you using?

Just picked up a Voigtlander 28mm f/1.9 for the Leica, but still waiting on a 28mm viewfinder until I really start using it.

Never pulled film, but your results make me want to. Looks great, dude.

The M3 is great. I've had to put more money into it than I really wanted to, but it's worth it I guess. I got it for a steal and it had been recently CLAed so I've felt alright spending money on stuff like the 28mm, but I feel stupid paying $160 for a 28mm viewfinder. I need it, but I wish I could be putting that money towards something better.

I'm really looking forward to really taking it to the streets, like fast paced street photography, since I've been doing some pretty stationary portraits and landscapes. It's harder in the winter, since there's a lot less outdoor stuff going on, but Baltimore has a weird Christmas parade coming up so I think I'll really get to see how I like it then.

So many talented people in this thread! I'm not big into my photography, my 35mm camera is pretty basic and only ever seem to take pictures when I go on trips/have spare money, so I don't know the technical side too well but I always get really stoked on this thread. I posted my Kenya pictures a couple pages back and realised I had some iPhone ones (sorry!) but I kind of liked these ones:

Is that Yashica worth the price? Always wanted a medium format but just couldn't justify say a Hassleblad.

Really agree with that. It's stupid expensive. I really wanted to buy a wide angle for a moment but this made me refrain the impulse. Plus the M3 is so perfect for the 50mm that I don't think I'm going to buy any more lenses now.

Fongstarr : Either the 124G or a Rolleicord (not Flex, way more expensive) are very good medium format camera that shouldn't burn a hole too deep in your pocket. If you want to try medium format for really cheap, get a Lubitel 2, it's all plastic but the lens is pretty good; it's just that it's a pain in the ass to use, but it's good to learn the hard way. They are all TLR (Twin Lens Reflex) with 6x6 negatives.
