Always enjoy lurking this thread. I don't really have photos to contribute but came across this earlier this week and thought some of you might enjoy it. Apologies if already posted.

Diggin it man, I know I've spent too much time on Slap when I start seeing Shalom in places it isn't, like on the graff in the top photo.

Damn I left my bubbler at my parents house

Hahaha, now I can't not see it.
There were three DIY jersey barriers at that spot that StabMasterArson and Levi's (I think?) built. The graff reads "Share Your Candy," if you were wondering.

Me and that same dude went out today... I'm really hoping I didn't kill another VX by skating/filming in 19 degree weather, but I dig what came of it.

Also, thanks for the kind words! :) I really have no idea what I'm doing when it comes to setting up the camera. I just know "oh ok that's too bright, too dark, just right" haha

Edit: Actually spent 30 minutes editing the wrong photo...

Here's a couple I took over the last few months. Not as much neon so I started taking more photos of buildings. Finding myself drawn to Soviet Bloc type things like the first photo.

It was meant to be a compliment. The only thing I particularly liked about Only God Forgives was the cinematography.

i've been getting back into taking skate photos. these are old but some favorites. made soft due to resizing on imgur, i guess if you're motivated copy the link minus the "l" before ".jpg" to see larger.

Photography is tough like that. I think one of the hardest things is the disappointment and dry spells, but it's also motivation to shoot more, read more, learn more. Even when it comes to famous photographers, some bodies of work that are shot over multiple years will only result in a couple dozen keepers.

Do you guys have any youtube recommendations to watch?

http://www.youtube.com/channel/UCTgaiv8YdmmNqI8STrpWc7w

Negative Feedback is good I guess

http://www.youtube.com/user/JohnFreePhtography

John Free too I like his philosophy about photographing and in life in general..

Fstoppers is hilarious.. I only watch the "critique the community" section.. These dudes think they are the shit and know-it-all but I find funny how clueless they are if it isn't about the gear.. Talk about creative midlife crisis...

Also Ilford and the likes of it have some good content too.

I know there are plenty of youtubers (McKinnon, Carver, Kobeissi etc..) but that shit is usually as wack as the skateboarding equivalents are..

Do you watch any of that shit or do you think it is a waste of time?
