the last ten minutes have been absolutely insane, Turkey went from 2-1 down to 3-2 up, and have just had their goalkeeper sent off with no remaning substitutes.

I fell asleep at halftime of the Turkey/Czech game and was shocked when I woke up. What a comeback. Finally watched the highlights last night and that was amazing.

Going to watch Germany/Austria at lunch. Go Germany!

My dad went to his friends to watch the turkey game, when it was 2-0 he left and came home i didnt even know. cause he was outside working on the yard all pissed off, and he came in when he heard me screaming at the last goal.

I'm pretty pissed I got sick yesterday and couldn't go to the fanzones today to watch austria germany. Well, turns out it was a mediocre game at best and austria again didn't score.
Now I'm just glad all the Cordoba '78 talk is finally over. It's just plain embarassing how austrians still grab on to that victory after 30 years.
Austria has a young and promising team though, I hope they'll qualify for the South Africa world cup in 2010.that'd be awesome.

croatia-turkey, meh to the fullest. i've got alan's back tho, so im rooting for croatia.

holland-sweden, should be a good game for sure. i dont really care who wins.

I thought Spain would be the favourite. Italy barely made it through the first round.

I'd like to see Italy go as far as possible, but I like Spain, too. The only thing that would really upset me is seeing Portugal win. I dislike the team, but I detest the Portuguese people at my school that give everyone else shit and act like douchebags in general.

Holland looks the most convincing in my eyes, but I'm backing Spain to the fullest. This does seem like it's setting them up for another poor showing though, they've got tough matches ahead. Portugal looks to have the easiest route to the finals if they keep up their form, which bums me out. I want Germany to fuck their shit.

my logiy would say that if you get no points in the final round it means no goals too ... still excited that the netherlands are playing that well
