I was rooting for Netherlands and really surprised they got beat so bad but Russia looked way better.  Van Der Sar had some great saves though.

It's too bad Italy is out, but they really did not deserve to win that game. Toni was disgusting, and the Spanish team was doing a lot of diving too. I guess I expect a certain amount of toughness from pro athletes. I certainly don't expect them to cry after a little bit of physical contact and falling down on grass. I'm sick of seeing that shit. I'd still like to see Spain go all the way.

With the wave of luck Turkey is riding, who knows how that one will go. Hopefully Germany takes it, they've been great.

With only 13 fit players left and Nihat going home, Touncay suspended?  I can't see them beating the German side that we say against Portugal.  Stranger things have happened, though I hope they don't this time.

Arshavin sure gained a lot of value and will definetly play in central europe next season, but he didn't play that much so far.
Snejder was sick too, but since holland are out already...David Villa and David Silva seemd strong to me, but I didn't watch their games too intensively.

Seconded.  That van der Sar was pretty damn good. 

What about the Russian goalie about to kill his own player for heading the ball towards his own goal from like 5 ft in front of it?  I thought the goalie was gonna smack the shit outta him.
