Yeah- eBay is terrible about dimensional shipping costs unless you enter manually or do flat rate.

I didn’t notice that Rodney Mullen A Team deck before. There’s definitely a cult of boomer/gen X Rodney worshippers out there for such a fuck ass deck to go for such a high price.

I knew about the Fairman’s auction but didn’t realize there was so much stuff. There was only a small preview before the auction went live.

I’m actually sort of bummed his handmade one-off decks went for basically nothing and random Bam related shit made big bucks. I guess that’s the vintage market in a nutshell.

I also wonder if Dave made money off that auction or if the kid who bought his shop sold that stuff? Hopefully the former. Dave was a nice guy, down for the scene back in the day.

That's one of Rodney's personal riders that he skated in Round 2. It's a weak graphic, for sure, but still a pretty cool piece.

Although those 90s era AWS decks are kind of tempting at that price, the John Drake especially...

But I mean, collecting anything really 'aint cheap, but I try to be as frugal as I can with my collecting and am by no means perfect...
