Wow didn't expect thugga hoe tendencies on a video. Not even an officially released song

Ryan Lay came through! I’ve loved all his parts, but this really exceeded my expectations.

Joa’s part was fun. I kind of like that he doesn’t have a board so he doesn’t have to take himself too seriously.

We all wanted more Jerry footage, but very happy with what I got. His style is still the best.

I still can’t believe Vans chose Sza over Glick  :'(

yeah, I agree with the person earlier, you knew what a Sci Fi video would look like and this is definitely that. a little ADD, a little edgy, a little absurd, mixed with some real creative skating. really enjoyed it for what it was, even with filming that can be "too dynamic" at times. there's so many clips to digest, it's gonna take several viewings. but overall a superb full-length video offering IMO. I can imagine this being really impactful if I was in my teens or 20s.

also Vanessa Williams save for the best for last made me so happy to hear. one of those classic 90s emotional songs

Video of the year easily. Some of you are stuck in your era and/or have some kind of negative bias towards the team/brand with some of these homunculi opinions in here.

I like Jerry and Ryan a lot but even the Spitfire edit this week felt better. I can watch it all the way through and this one I can't. That's actually a crew that skates together and do their thing in a natural way. Akwasi seems like he barely tried for this just go back and watch his older footage. Asics is replaying his Atlantic Drift clips still and I can't think of many things in this that are that memorable and I'm a huge fan of his. This team doesn't feel like that although they really tried to push that it is. This is my 3rd watch and other than the last 2 parts I get a bit more disappointed each time. They shouldn't have filmed so much while traveling.

It didn't feel like as much Jerry as it did the younger team members wanting to make it cater to their Gen Z LA friends. That makes sense since the other dudes are old and Jerry actually wants the brand to last.

I was in my teens when Man Down and most of Jerry's footage came out and I can't imagine this video feeling impactful in the same way. It's not a generational game changer from a technical or production perspective, the music will age like shit, and there aren't as many endearing qualities.

I've rambled too much, but I don't dislike it just don't love it and it didn't mean the years of hype built up.

Nothing but good things to say about it. Good overall vibes and the music was great. Gonna rewatch this at least a dozen times in the coming weeks.

Yeah the vibes were off the chart with this one. Nice, comfy full-length and really liked seeing a lot of fresh new LA spots!

Employing Matt King to make this video is extremely shrewd. Legit underground hero and man his long lens filming rules!

Surprised people aren't digging Gabe's part that much. I loved it. Those frontside 540 ollies were fantastic!

Mixed about the editing in Max's part. While the goofy b-roll was fun, I wish they'd cut down on it to focus on the skating a bit more. Would be a very high rewatch part for me had they toned it down

Was expecting Max to be my favorite part in the video but it turned out to unironically be Joa. Massive step up from his last part and had a really fun little intro. Loved the fakie tail slide fakie big flip line, the kickflip off the roof and the manny bluntslide fakie manny fakie tre. He definitely also had a few clips he'd roast the shit out of had someone else done them though haha

Was hoping to like Zak more. Loved the line with the kick flip down the set to wallie the barrier, but was disappointed when I realized it was the ender

Jerry and Arin were awesome! Arin's ender was super sick. A few underwhelming clips from Jerry, but more than made up for it with the bank clips at the end! Would have liked that darkslide a lot more had it not been for the Thrasher cover though. I'd been wondering what the footage would look like, as it felt very ambiguous to me what the spot and trick would look like from the photo. It almost looks like a different spot on video

Akwasi started off slow but closed out with some bangers!

First Ryan part where I think his age is starting to show a bit in his skating, but even then it was really great! He's so sick. Crazy he's 37

Glick was fantastic as expected

Really enjoyed the overall art direction and editing. Especially the credits/outro, very wholesome and the mini Chandler part was super sick!

Very good video!

I am too old for this video.  It feels like this company really, really likes Bronze and 917.  I didnt like the soundtrack at all except for Jerry & Erin’s part.  Glick and Jerry were great aside from that this is not for me.

Caveat-again, I am old and aware that I am not the target audience for this i just wanted to like it more than I did.

That Zak guy is just the white Akwasi. They skate the exact same things and way.

I guess this is how Gen z skate videos are.

Joa seems like the kid at the park who is really good but also a dick so no one likes him.
I like this Max fellow whoever the fuck he is.
Gabbe is in there cause he can frontside 540 on miniramps and I approve.
Lot of 'hooking up the homies' vibes in this so far, not necessarily a bad thing.
Jarin part was great. Kickflip front tail front bigspin! Jerry getting 11 tricks at one spot is bery company ownerish. He came througn though, loved it.
Ryan is very good. Nose manual nose blunt nose manual was a treat.
Glick for life. Probably checked off a couple tricks fron the 'tricks you'd like to do or see' or whatever thread.
Nice fuckin vid. Given up on ever liking the music in a video again, but I did enjoy it more as the video went on.

Ryan and Jerry are on another tier, their veteran status really showing. Editing felt very modern, which fits and works for sci-fi, even if the average age across the team is ~30-something.  Jerry’s noseslide variations on the bank that he filmed his ender on were the most memorable tricks imo. NY dude (Truong’s homie) was also dope.

Only complaint is the Disney song for a grown ass man felt really weird, intentionally ironic or not. Definitely not VOTY.

Just finished it.
Joa’s part was good, but not my taste, really.
Akwasi can do no wrong in my eyes. That ride on bsnb caught me off guard in the best way.
Gabbe’s part was fun. Kinda gave me Emile vibes.
Max was my favorite out of it all. I’m so glad he came back to skating after whatever happened between him and AWS. Loved his part in Bunker Down.
Arin + Jerry = wonderful combo. Jerry’s still got it despite how much he claims not to.
Ryan Lay has never not amazed me. His best part yet, imho.
Glick’s part was sick. Love that he’s getting to skate spots he wants to skate and not a bunch of Foundation ass spots that could put him out for weeks/months/forever.

Overall, 9/10. Only complaint is that I couldn’t get into most of the music.

I love this video and I love this era (dad hat era) of skating. The music, non-skate filler clips, sound/video editing and overall aesthetic are just so much fun. Eclectic yet cohesive team, with everyones tricks able to make me exclaim comments out loud in excitement.

Ryan and Jerry’s parts were a lot better than I remember. Now that I have rewatched, I like Ryan’s part more than Joa but Joa still my second favorite part.

Some really sick stuff in there. Akwasi nollie bs 360 wallride on a wall, from a wall ride on a flat wall. Than down a bank haha. Obviously some bronze influence in the edit. Ender was all time.

Joa came thru with a lot of clips even tho most of them were pretty whatever combos

I don’t get Zack and Gabe, petty weak clips from them.

Akwasi felt like he had more b-roll than actual clips

Max was surprisingly good. Felt like he really tried to push himself.

Up to Arin’s part I felt like they all wanna be that wallie/zany combo guy. Arin had some good clips but pretty forgettable.

Jerry was great as expected.

Ryan Lay showing the youngins what it means to be a pro skater. Very good part and the highlight for me.

Corey had a lot of cool clips. Ender coulda been cleaned up though, especially for the last trick in the video.

so funny cause I really felt the ender being sketch is the exact vibe they're going for as a brand aesthetic HA

Jerry, Arin, Ryan Lay and Corey Glick were amazing. Everyone else should be on Frog flow or just not have a board sponsor.

Joa was so underwhelming, krook shuv it to grind? Pretty harsh trick selection.

Can’t wait until the 90’s are over. These fits kids are wearing are getting harder and harder to take seriously.

Saw this at my local premiere, but that did not include the credits!

Glad to see they extended the video with a proper end credits section.

I always liked Ryan lay, dude is criminally under. For all his interviews and coverage about being old and shit, I feel like he went the hardest.

Also I’m an unapologetic sci-fi Stan. So 10/10 no notes

Some thoughts:

- Too many illegal spots that other teams/skaters wouldn't touch. I don't really wanna see 8" ledges. Mini ramp is lame too.

- Jerry still looks great on a skateboard. Obviously not as gnar, but shows no awkwardness like lots of 40+ skaters.

- Fat toe touch on the ender of the whole vid is wild.

- Polar vibes with all the performative touchy-feely stuff.

- Some of Joa's tricks are bad considering how much he shit-talks others' trick selections. Really shows that a lot of "skate IQ" shit is just being really really good.

- Overall fun watch but very forgettable. Seems like Jerry prioritized camaraderie rather than finding the most talented skaters when putting together this team. I get it, but as a selfish viewer I would love if the skating was at a slightly higher level. Almost feel like they are not cool enough to pull this off?

I realize I sound pretty negative but I'm glad I watched it... just probably won't ever again.

Ryan's part is my favorite. The line that went: switch back hurricane, switch flip flip back tail was sick. I also really liked the opening line with the long ass hubbas, that is a crazy nollie noseblunt.

Some of you guys are super jaded. I think the hype train leading up to this video is what is letting some people down. Too much anticipation. People had it in their mind that it was gonna be this generation's Bag of Suck or something. It's not, but it's still really good.
