I was really close to pulling the trigger on a pair, either to skate in or as an everyday shoe, mainly to support a European skate shoe brand that’s just starting out and trying to innovate.

However, after seeing their upcoming Fall ’26 collection, I was honestly a bit disappointed with the direction they seem to be heading. It feels very futuristic and leans heavily toward a couture / fashion-week type of concept (if that even applies to skate shoes). To me, that kind of approach can get old pretty quickly.
I would’ve preferred to see more of a focus on performance and technical details, like what they appeared to be doing with the first Jet, or even the introduction of a new silhouette.

That said, I hope I’m wrong and I genuinely wish them longevity — there’s room for different tastes, and it’s good to see new brands trying things out.

Yesterday I tried them with FP game changers sport and sole fits very well.
Will try to skate them to see if is doable for me.
When I tried them stock I had sore feet but that's normal for me unless I'm skating either 933 or 808

Been skating a pair of the 1.3 with FP insoles and I really like them. Fit wider than I would’ve expected but that suits my foot quite well.

Also my friend who owns a shop says that they should be distributing in the US pretty soon.

got a pair today from a friend and skated them a bit after some jordan 1s. the stock insole choice is really bizarre. its maybe the hardest and stiffest foam i've ever had in a shoe. not a fan personally. like someone said before it does feel more like a vulc than a cupsole. its kind of a weird feeling because the insole is so stiff yet the upper is pretty comfortable and forgiving. they're crazy grippy with the toecap but the hard rubber covering the whole toe makes it kind of feel like you are stubbing your toe every time your foot shifts forward a bit too much. they also feel really stable against inversion but weirdly feels unstable for eversion. going to relegate to chillers until maybe the insole breaks in a bit but i also almost exclusively skate nikes anyways.

*edit*
I've worn them around casually for a bit and the insole does break in better after some time and is comfy in a firm way if that makes sense. I could see these being decent if I really committed. Lowkey into them way more than I expected.

I've skated four pairs of the 1.30PM's so far. They're by far my fav skate shoe, I can skate for 8 hours straight without my big toes feeling arthritic. If your feet don't like round toeboxes, they'll probably love these

i dont think that angled lacing design
lends itself to mid/high tops

looks goofy top down

I feel the same way, considering I was close to buying a pair until I saw that shipping is $25 and thought about the possibility of getting hit with tariffs on top of that, which turned me away. I'll wait for shops to get them.

Usually, $80 is the most I'm willing to pay for a canvas shoe, but I was intrigued by the designs.

For any Pals that have them, does the angled lacing prevent laces from getting ripped, or does it just delay it?

Can’t comment on the ripped laces because I’m not planning to skate my pair. But do want to flag that I got hit with a $35 duties invoice a couple weeks after I got them. I like the shoes but not a fan of the insoles, too firm for me.

Bought two pairs of the second drop canvas purple colorway and painted the uppers matte black. Only difference I could tell from the first drop is they added tongue stabilizers. The canvas on these is THICK

There are some pics in my post history of other Village PMs if you're interested. I'm going to follow the directions with the fabric paint and let these purple ones dry for 72 hours before skating them

As for the laces ripping, it still happens, but I feel I'm not replacing them as often compared to normal laced shoes. They tend to rip by my ankles. Probably from eating it, I fall a lot

those will look so cool once the purple starts to wear through! I got the same pair, but wondering if anyone has been successful replacing the insole in them (cuz it's thicc)

I put some FP game changers sport high (gee, I felt stupid writing that) and they're a really good fit.

Do they feel as tight and unstable as they look? I climb a lot and I'd never step on a skateboard in climbing shoes with how cramped my toes are and how unstable and roll-prone the heel and ankle area is

No they are actually wider than I originally thought, but still hug and secure your feet in quite well.

Edit - Also I should say I'm only wearing mine as casual shoes. Atm I'm skating NB 480's. See quite a lot of posters say they find them to be "tippy" but I've never had an issue with them.

i mainly wear them casually now but i did have 1 full sesh in them and thought they were actually pretty good after breaking in the insole (its on the thicker end and pretty firm, i recommend wearing them around casually before skating). they dont fit anything like climbing shoes thankfully. i have a pretty regular foot maybe on the narrow side and they fit fine true to size. not tight at all but i did get blisters on the only day i skated them because of the way the heel was catching my sock. if you have ever skated a GT blazer theyre similar in stability i think. theyre basically a vulc so the stability is not going to better than any cupsoles (dunk, AJ1, 440, 1010 etc...).

Sold some ish to offset the swoop. Dug these b/c they are just so different from anything i've worn / are into normally. wear 11.5, these are 12s and fit solid. Insole is crazy. Would order 11.5 if they made em but these will totally work. Shipped and delivered insanely fast.

The all black with white laces looks soo dope. I got the brown 1pm but might have to pick up the black as well.

How long did shipping take? Are you in the US? I was lucky to get mine off depop brand new, so far Village hasn't made it to Australian shops.
