Seem like Indy is in a situation where I'm sure they feel like shops "need" them to survive so they can basically do whatever they want.
The iron cross absolutely sucks and only the worst people I know actively seek out independent products with the cross logo.
In my opinion its really dumb to bring back something that they have already done away due to social backlash/ political climate. To me it shows how little integrity the brand as a whole has.
This does put shops (that arent down with the logo) in a tough spot, Indy is probably the #1 seller of truck brands at most shops, so an outright boycott could potentially hurt shops since NHS does sell DTC and people want what people want.
but that being said, if or when the cross makes its way back on to the trucks, personally I will trim my stock of indy down to very few sets and push Ace or Thunders way harder. Dlx and Mesa do more for small shops anyway.

I'm a current shop owner myself.  I don't stock anything NHS since they stopped selling to regional midwest and east coast distributors, and the only people who complain are people I can definitely survive without, if I do continue to survive regardless.  Whenever anyone brings up the stupid logo shit I brush it off and show them Ace and the new Thunders and convert them.  Fuck em.

And this is what you do for your first post? You're going to be a real all-star here.

Better not underestimate the number of new accounts being made for the sole reason of defending a logo.

So you guys have something to talk about on this xmas eve. There's 2 new designs to order at NHS Direct, there's no photos of the products,  the Truck Co is the round cross logo with the "Truck Company" underneath and the OGBC is the cross with the Independent text. So not just rumors or speculation.

ps. as an xmas present, can someone focus that insufferable kooks account above for good, appreciated! Merry xmas!

There’s also that shop in Japan that uses the manji as their logo, I’m surprised I hadn’t seen anyone on here trip about that
[close]

there is a japanese buddhist church that is popular in san jose that has these inscribed on the benches... and yeah not sure who to direct that issue to as the church does these social / liberal events all the time
[close]

Likely no one because it’s a manji and not a swastika

Swastika is an umbrella term for all four-pronged rotating symbols. It’s been used around the world. Manji is the Japanese pronunciation snd can apply to any number of different designs.

9 pages of people re-re-re-hashing one of the oldest, most tired fucking arguments to be had on this fucking website.

Can we even call it a Happy NEW Year if we're still doing this shit?

Ride Indys, or don't, it's that simple.

What was their logic for that? Did they ever provide a reason? Seems counter productive.

Would be curious to know this as well.

How are East coast shops getting Indys then? Straight from NHS?

My skate journey started as an NHS fanboy, SC, Speedwheels, Indy, SMA etc... Over the years I always came back to Indy but it's been a long time. Just gave away my last pair. If there is ever a Stage 12...it might peak my interest... but otherwise I'm happy to move on. Indy once saved skateboarding. It has been interesting to see it devolve and struggle with its image.

Still the no 1 selling truck though, right?

They did it silently, but what it did do was force small shops to either buy directly from NHS, or not stock their stuff at all.  Most big legacy shops who are doing very well probably didn't care.  But I valued the ability to restock on DLX stuff, Ace or Slappy, AND Indy, all in one order, and pay moderate shipping, and get them quickly when I needed them.  I assume the reason was profits.  They also recently introduced MAP pricing - which wasn't the worst idea - as it standardizes pricing across all shops.  That could've been the actual reason, I don't know.

Idk if you guys know this but Joey tershy was caught applauding air strikes on Israel on ig a few months ago

No matter your political stance, applauding innocents being killed is unforgivable

I’d rather ride Indys than support that dipshits rip off Indys
