In my mind, seeing someone do certain tricks has almost gone from "wow so gnarly" to "man that's stupid".

Like back lips down some massive handrail where having something go wrong (except slipping out) would almost certainly make you smash the back of your head to the concrete, with the speed being fast enough that it would be close to a physics based certainty, no matter how good you are at falling. 

Or maybe I just don't understand how it works because I can't do them on anything. Wish I could, back lip is a beatiful trick.

shit could get complicated if some rich Karen's kid blames nyjah on breaking his neck (they were inspired to not wear a helmet bc he doesn't etc), and Nike or Monster makes wearing a helmet contractually or sponsorships over.

I don't see that happening necessarily, but being this is America, some little twat's fate could make enough noise and the media could create that narrative relating to Nyjah as a role model. insert && advocating for helmets...

If Jackass and Bam didn’t get sued, Nyjah won’t be. There were a ton of copycats who got severe burns, broken bones, and even one person got paralyzed at some Bam event, but he never got sued. If Nyjah explicitly told kids not to wear helmets, it might be a different story. Even then, there are a lot of impact sports where people don’t wear helmets and I don’t see this going anywhere. There’s literally a UFC match at the White House.

Also, I’m pretty sure all decks have this dumb warning sticker. This is a Yuto board, but I’m sure Disorder boards have the same thing.

This is the equivalent of someone who gets paralyzed in a car accident suing a NASCAR driver for inspiring them. Or someone suing the makers of Call of Duty if their kid shoots someone. These types of suits go no where and are just a legal nuisance.

i finally learned it at 39, there is still hope for you. start with the nollie back lip on a parking block or baby rail. if you can backside ollie over the rail, and also front board, you have everything you need. that is all it is. i warm up by doing a couple fs board, bs ollieing over the rail a bunch of times, do a couple bs 5050s, and then eventually get the courage to start committing it. its still pretty scary for me, i havent done one in a few months now. hoping to get another one soon, im pretty sure i can still do it.
