Good point. He went straight ahead, to the very pinnacle of achievement in skateboarding: an appearance on the Nine Club. He sure showed us.

Me? I'm tight as FUCK

I would have totally forgiven him if he won it, grabbed the mic and shouted "FUCK DONALD TRUMP FUCK PUTIN FUCK THE PROUD BOYS FUCK MAGA FUCK HOMOPHOBES FUCK RACISTS AND MOST OF ALL FUCK TIM POOL!"
*mic drop*
*slow motion walk out of building, lights cigarette and puts on sunglasses as the building explodes behind him*
*...also he planted explosives in the building at some point...*

What would lead anyone to believe pine gives one solitary shit about anything substantial. Guy is a driveway skater from a New Jersey suburb.

I don't believe that at all, I just think it would have been cool.

valid points. he fucked up
Just seems like it’s so much more energy for him than anyone else

Didnt Nb donate a bunch of money to trump the same time they were taking over skating?

Literally just googled this but Phil knight is prominent  republican donor. Are yall boycotting them? The people who skate for them?

I can’t claim to know but it seemed like that event had no real impact.

Nike donates to both sides of the isle. Phil Knight recently turned up his personal donations to republicans which is why he was in the news. That was the last straw for me and I no longer buy or support anything Nike related. But I should have done that years ago if I’m being honest. Same with NB.

As the saying goes: “If 9 people sit down at a table with 1 Nazi without protest, there are 10 Nazis at the table.”

If you want to boycott every company that donated to Republican campaigns, Trumps inauguration, or Trump directly you couldn't use any phone, likely any computer, drive most cars, or shop pretty much anywhere. The list of corporate donors and especially tech companies is never-ending largely due to his support for domestic chipmakers and AI hungry companies.

I'm not saying your choice of supporting Nike is wrong but it sure as shit makes it hard to navigate life without supporting dickheads especially when you see who is supporting the Palestinian genocide.

the Pine defenders are completely missing the point. this is about holding people accountable for things they've done that will have an affect on the future. Jeff, with what little credibility he has in skating, decided to be apart of Tim Pools dork ass MAGA skate program. showing that "hey its ok to be a racist bigoted POS in skateboarding" where now people with that mentality think its ok to be that way in skating.

if you think i'm wrong or youre still in this thread defending either or those losers FOCUS your account and go back to QAnon and Truth Social and get fucked

I’m not even gonna dig up the partaking in society meme. We all know this, dude. Skateboarding is a small enough industry that it’s 100x easier to not buy directly from bastards so I do my best to support companies who aren’t Republican donors or Trump supporters. That’s all I’m saying.

How many of you even know the person that pays your salary and receives the profit generated by your labour in return, let alone know their politics? Pine has been forever trying hard to make skateboarding a career. He fucked up but please let's be real about how many of y'all's careers are lining the pockets and fueling the social sabotage of people who are every bit as bad as Tim Pool. If anything I very much doubt Pool got his money's worth from that event and Pine somehow made a better deal than most of you armchair moralists working for neoliberal monsters. How exactly is his quest to somehow scrape a meagre living from skating less exonerable than your quest to pay off a mortgage and a nice car at a multinational deathcorp? There are those among you who may have upheld their values, forsaken comfortable income for core ethics and are thus qualified to pass judgement, but why am I willing to bet that those aren't the loudmouths in here trying to crucify a dude who gets jokingly put on the spectrum all the time for making one really stupid sociopolitical decision. Foaming at the mouth type shit foreal. And all you bitches wearing Trump-donating NBs,yet you're the ones screaming the loudest at the personification of easy target. This is just weak cowardly performative outrage. If you're serious about the societal impact and political implications of people in skateboarding, ostracize rothdigga right now. He works for and thus enriches a man who financed Trump's rise to power. But that's not gonna happen is it?

Jokes aside: Pine seems like a decent guy, so judging him on one poor decision seems a bit harsh no
[close]

Not when the decision in question is "I'm going to knowingly work with an alt-right propagandist". He came on here and acknowledged he knew all about Tim Pool, but he still decided a couple grand and a comped hotel room were more important than distancing himself from the kind of bullshit Pool spews out. That's not one poor decision, that displays lack of character.

There's levels to kookery. If you were comped a hotel room and a few grand to skate in the house that Steve built, that's not the coolest thing ever but at least he was a respectable pro skater at some point and Scientology is his worst offense.

Tim Pool is a known Russian asset who accepted $10M to push the Kremlin's narrative into US politics in an attempt to manipulate our election. Skating for money at The Boonies is worse than that Riyadh Comedy Fest.

Episode #405 on the Nine Club real bottom of the barrel type shit.

So I know that a lot of you are blissfully unaware of whats going on in the world beyond your friend/family group, this is for yall--

There is a group of people who are avidly working to change our way of life. These are people who are selling off natural resources by the mile, dream of privatizing water, limiting the rights of anyone not white, and gutting every service under the purpose of "saving money" all while helping another group of people who don't even live here to kill another group of people who don't even live here. These people tend to enjoy their hats being red.

My brother is deployed to IRAN, Tarriffs have made getting my medication impossible, our healthcare shitstem is a joke, GAS IS FIVE FUCKING DOLLARS/GAL, and shits just getting more expensive. I have a vested interest in what's going on and I'm going to let you know: Pine fucked up.

Pine has helped make this possible by participating in a marketing event to bring anti-awareness of whats going on up here ^ to help spread the message that "this is just for skating" meanwhile its working to soften politically agnostic people like yourselves who "keep politics out of things" meanwhile you see your father and mother actively voting against their own interests out of "patriotic duty."
[close]

Not disagreeing with your assessment here (I wouldn’t place the blame solely on maga republicans), but I figured someone with a brother in the military would have a little more grace for people making poor choices under the promise of financial independence.
[close]

3k is financial independence?
[close]
It's not bad for just playing a game of skate
I mean he had to socialize with them since he wasn't skating the entire time...so there's inference to why he's hanging out with someone who felt it necessary to buy the land a DIY skatepark was on just so he could skate there

also If you win a lottery prize you also have to pay taxes on it...so Pine maybe made $2k.  Lame payout for risk / reward

Wouldn't it be amazing if we found out that fighting with each other over who has the "good politics" and who has the "bad politics" was exactly what those in power wanted us to be doing because it reinforces belief in the system, the nature of which is enslavement, which is why those at the very top always fund both sides?

Man, that would be fuckin CRAZY.

Soooo…best bet is to not vote for either and just let my superior esoteric political knowledge reign supreme over these sheeple. That’ll show em. Kamala would have done the same shit because two wings one bird. Votes don’t even count anyways.

Still curious why the right are trying so hard suppress votes and gerrymander every district in the US to smithereens considering the ultra elite benefit either way 🤔

The idea that a small handful of humans both own everything and also fund everything can be confirmed in about 30 seconds for anyone who knows how to use Google finance. The "why" is fairly easy to deduce from there.

Need I point out that those currently benefiting from the system will oppose/try to discredit any movement away from it? Need I point out why?

But the real question is: do you still believe a small minority of people can be "democratically" empowered to rule responsibly over the whole with force and violence? If you still think that might work, by all means, continue to fight for the political party you think is the good one.

We could do this back and forth about oligarchy V plutocracy V democracy all day, really, we could. But we’re here for Pine right now & I’ve hijacked too many threads this month. Send me your Reddit handle and we’ll dish in private. As a caveat I’ll ask that you read some Robert Anton Wilson & and Zecharia Sitchin just to be up to speed. TTYS.

Rawkus Records was founded by Rupert Murdoch's son. That's more creepy than surprising, I guess.

But to keep this thread about Pine: should his next video part be scored to Black Star or Pharoahe Monch?  ;D

Nine club is desperate for new guests and are currently scraping the bottom of the barrel. A year ago they would not even have entertained the idea of Jeffwonnazi being on the show.

Pre-Tim Pool or Post-Tim Pool, this dude isn't on my radar. I saw his interview with the Berrics a long time ago and I don't imagine much has changed since then.

I'll bet a dollar I can summarize his Nine Club interview without seeing it:
"I had a really stupid nickname, I was made fun of because of this nickname, I do lots of triple flips, people didn't take me seriously, I sort of showed them because I'm still here skating in LA, but not really cause I still don't have a single legit sponsor. You gotta do your own thing and not let others get you down."

I suppose he deserves credit for hanging on after being dismissed by basically everyone due his bad style and poor trick selection, but if that is the case, I suppose Aaron Kyro deserves credit for hanging on as well  :o :o :o

Note: I thought Jason Ellis was Pine when the Booners thread started. I had no idea this dude lurked SLAP.
