Anybody else noticed how he started to dress more the way he wants instead of just rocking the clothes his sponsors give to him for free.
He wears lots of bandmerch now, alot of Mortician shirts, which I back a lot. I think he is evolving in to what he really wants to portray instead of acting as a billboard for his sponsors. So I really think he will start his own thing and its probably gonna have some Goregrind / Brutal Death vibe to it.
[close]

It's just a phase he's going through/LA kids are finally finding out about these bands. This dude has been through every alt boi style trend
[close]

LA being famously behind the times when it comes to music awareness 🙄
[close]

People from Los Angeles are notoriously behind trend in music. Name a solitary band from LA that has been on the forefront of anything in the last decade
[close]

Kids from LA are also notorious for manufacturing their image based on current fashion/streetwear trends. A few years back it was a handful of hardcore band shirts maybe a Dystopia tee here and there, then they were on the Slam Death trend line and I guess they saw enough people wearing Mortician shirts at those shows that they decided that was the next way to go. Lik a year or two ago he as goofy indie throwback boy painting his nails and wearing beanies with ear flaps. I'm just wondering when he copies Ville and gets a bunch of terrible single needle tattoos.

Anonymous middle aged loser denigrates young man for discovering music and altering his wardrobe to reflect new taste/trends.

I do think the band shirts thing is a bit over done, i am like 99% sure that certain skaters are given / told to wear band shirts so that its not "too obvious" that they are doing a supreme ad or whatever. they want the guys to have some sort of mark of individuality. Do you think Nakel actually listens to bad brains?

People way overthink band tshirts. Sometimes you see a band and you buy a tshirt. Then you wear the tshirt. That's it. That's all it needs to be.

Nakel bad brains is definitely a fashion choice tho.

you really think there is a grand conspiracy that companies are going out of their way to provide team riders with band shirts to wear instead of their own gear so that they can establish an identity in a industry/hobby that is famously intertwined with music.

An idea of TM's are scouring metal distros for Mortician to riders is pretty fucking funny to me.

No but I also don't think Kylie Jenner listens to Metallica, I think they're just doing trendy shit. I don't think there's a grand conspiracy behind it... vintage band shirts have been in style for ages

I just have to say it's really funny that Mortician is all up in this discourse.
I'm a fan, they have their place, but it's such a niche, almost joke style of music.

Lol. Eldee is definitely a human. He’s like a raider on horse back who’s kinda scared to do battle. Somehow he closes his eyes and swings his sword wildly and wakes up in a pile of dead orcs.

much like skate brands live off normies shopping at zumies, a band can thrive if their merch catches fire. cause spotify not paying

I mean that actually gives him more credit, Frankie’s around my age and if growing up in LA suburbs is the same as oc he probably does listen to a bunch of those bands cause we listened to a bunch of that stuff. He’s always using random grindcore, metalcore and post hardcore tracks in his ig posts.

People will say anything to hate on LA or the greater area.
If you go anywhere east of downtown LA you're gonna see a good handful of latino goth, punk, metal kids.
OC has had a great weirdo music scene at the Observatory for a long time, as well.
Franky is cool and better at skating than all of us anyway.

It's alright you're allowed to wear bands shirts of music you've recently discovered. You're also allowed to rock a new image at the drop of a hat. I rate it honestly, as long as it's something you're genuinely into at the time

i just always kind of enjoy the easter egg of seeing a band shirt that speaks to me in the wild (or in video or movie or whatever i guess). i don't really need to care about who's wearing it and their motivations. it's like seeing a butterfly, you just kind of say "cool" to yourself, and then it's gone. please don't get upset guys...

edit: sometimes if it's a really cool shirt i might be a little jealous of it

He should've stayed with Primitive so he could afford a house by the cemetery.
Andy Anderson, I cannot sanction your buffoonery.
