grant's part was really sick. fast, powerful, fluid skating with a subtley interesting trick selection. probably the most mature of a skateboarder out of the ams, including jake.
one thing that i was thinking about that i liked alot about the video -- particularly regarding van angelen's and omar's skating but including others -- is the useage of handrails without them having to be the biggest ever or the most innovative trick. 'Backside smith grind an eight stair' in 2009 can mean anything: doing it fast as fuck or, in a line, or on a weird rail with a kink at the end or maybe a particularly tall one -- whatever. hopefully mindfield will the nail in the coffin against all of the stupid, reactionary hate against absolutely any form of rail skating that began three or four years ago in exaggerated response to pig wood/foundation types.
also, dill's part was succinct but sweet. it wasn't that short -- maybe two minutes of straight footage? it's probably about the same length as arto's.
