pretty sure its a slick bottom, but with the graphic printed on top of the slick part as opposed to the slick being on top of the graphic. so it kind of wears away like a wood board. someone correct me if im wrong

Sounds kind of ridiculous.  Just like the slicks from the early 90's

7-ply hardwood maple but with thinner veneers to accommodate for the dura slick material. The Dura slick laminate is applied with a unique plasma treatment process which makes for a smooth, consistent slide, while providing increasted strenght, durability, and pop.

I find it hard to believe a slick layer can add strength, durability and pop.  Back in the day, when shops where low on non-slick decks and the only good shapes were slick boards, dudes I know used to peel off the slick bottoms.  That shit had no pop.

If that's the same kind of shit that mini-logos have then I hate that stuff. I've slipped the fuck out so hard because of that lame shit. One of the reasons I'm done with mini-logos. I've never had a problem just using wax. If it ain't sliding go faster.

Beer City made the best slicks ever... no plastic shit, it was like it was dipped in enamel or something. It was tough sliding it down to the wood, and there was no peeling or flaking. It was like armored paint or something.

Yeah, it's pretty much exactly that. It only slides better/faster on rougher stuff.
It's applied different to the slicks of the early nineties, so it pops like wood and helps keep the board stiff.

Pop isn't better for sure on the old slicks, but I had a slick board that got run over by 3 cars without breakingdd, those things hold up

Polishing something adds strenghts to it... same as adding a glaze, so the board should be stronger if it can keep his ''dura''slick...
I'm wondering if the logo is under the slickness 'cause i'm always kinda bummed out when the graphic gets all fuzzy after the first time i skate with a new board... i swear sometimes to keep it clean i will only do grinds and flips :P
