found a bar last night that has Tilquin Gueze on tap along with a variety of Cantillon bottles on reserve (cheapest being like 32 dollars for 750 mL)

nice. tilquin might be my favorite gueuze, even over cantillon classic. $32 is steep, but i'd pay it for rose de gambrinus, iris or fou foune. had a really good sour on nye, cisco monomoy kriek from nantucket. expensive, but really well done.

I haven't drank a beer in over 3 years, but when I did, I always enjoyed free ones the best.

^ how was it?  i've got 2 bottles.  1 i'm going to age a year (at least) and one i'm getting ready to drink.  definitely going to need to share it with a friend though.  as much as i can drink, i don't think i want to try man handling a whole bottle of that myself  [edit] referring to the Black Tuesday

dude it's amazing, you'll love it. at ~18% abv it's dangerously smooth. i've tasted 10% beers that have had more of an alcohol burn than this one. good call on cellaring a bottle, i'm not sure i could be that patient. and dont be that scared to take a bottle to the dome, i've definitely done it before...just takes a couple hours.

also, it looks like the bruery closed down their provisions shop in old town orange. bummed.

love this beer. so much.

just got done this weekend brewing a clone of this beer:

really miss it, and it won't likely ever be available here so why not? we used extracts, because i don't have the setup for grain. apparently the recipe is pretty dead on.

it's not bad.  you really should try their stouts, if you like stouts.  the Black's Noctourne is fucking incredible

checked out their brewery a few months ago, which is not far from Etnies Skatepark.  nice little tasting room.  cool dudes working there.  recommendy

There's a lot of hype around this beer and it fully lived up to it. My hands down favorite IPA. It's difficult to get though.

Floop, you're killing it. Out of curiosity, how much coin do you drop on choice beverages in a given month?
