Drinking an IPA out of a can is weird... It's not bad, but its not good either.

I was looking at it today, I'm not a big fan of wheat beers, and really just the novelty of IPA in a can grabbed me on this one. I'm 4 deep and not buzzed... I do kinda need to cool it on drinking for a while though.

You will notice the flavors less drinking it straight from the can. Craft cans are becoming much more common. Blocks out light, and seems to preserve the floral (alpha??) acids of hops. They are cheaper to ship and will just be fresh longer. Most people like draught beer and a freshly cracked can is just its baby brother.

Drinking this now, not my first of the day either. It might be my new go-to at 10$/6pack

I'm now 6 deep on the Brew Free or Die, its not bad. 7%. I like drinking from a can, it reminds me of summer. I haven't seen the sierras in a can, maybe it's a regional thing.

i'd like to have a beer with that guy.

yeah, the can thing is still a stigma.  i'm personally a believer.  i like bottles too though.  i like it all.  i guess it depends on what you're going for.  to me there's nothing better than fresh canned Torpedo.

on a side note, had this yesterday.  really good (took it out of the sun soon after photo)

on another side note, i got a tip that Bourbon County Stout is on tap at a local brewery (Golden Road)..  went there last night and couldn't believe it was true.  my first time.  that is a serious beer.

think i'll be going back this week for seconds

Look for bottles of rampant floop! It's a new release and was bottled no sooner than a month ago. Though the wrong store could easily spoil bottles in a month I've been lucky at my local go-to, and thats just a value grocery store. Not quite Aldi's but close. Shop n Save.

Wild request, but Sweetwater Brewery out of Georgia just put out So Fine Red, a wheat wine ale, for their 16th anniversary, and I really want to try it. Anyone willing to help me out? Willing to trade for it

The second-greatest drink mankind has ever created behind Coca-Cola. I usually get a little slap happy after drinking a heavy-bodied beer (I'm a skinny dude), but just thinking about this stuff makes me happy. I swear to god it's magical.

A not-so-close second place.

the homie brought this over last week, (he bought it purely because the A's mascot is an elephant) it was super tasty and brewed locally in concord.

had this the same night, like the other dudes said in this thread it was strong but really tasty too.

on my third, about to be on my fourth of this tonight (plus one undercover), its 6.8% and tastes pretty good, a little bit of spice at the finish. i only bought it cause a co-worker said he tried it recently and liked it and the sale on it is over tomorrow. probably wont buy it again anytime soon, but dont regret it either.

Finally tasted a shitty weissbier. I actually thought that would never happen. My recommendation, steer clear of Valentins.

You found a unicorn.  I just got back from a two week trip to Munich and I am pretty sure that my blood stream is still running at least 15% weissbier.

Pretty much had a steady flow of...

Franziskaner:

Spaten (actually a Lager):

Paulaner:

I can't explain how rad it was skating to spots on this smooth brick with a huge can of good, cheap beer in my hands...

I'm not here enough to know if any brewer whose a bit chemistry oriented will see this, but how well does hop extract fair against degredation to beta acids??

My grocer got a shipment of these in yesterday (which is what sparked the extract question for anyone familiar with lagunitas), which means my fridge did, too. 5 bombers for under 20$ and my taste buds will be happy through tomorrow when I go get more.

went to this place last night, its amazing, http://www.sanpedrosquaremarket.com/market-beer-company/
had this there, along with some amazing food. it was really good, you can definitely taste the Belgian yeast.

took this one home, some of the brews the dude recommended were pretty pricey but this was the IPA that he suggested and it was only 10 bucks, and very tasty. i cant wait to go back and try more new brews. there was a few oak barrel aged brews and i want to start trying some stouts and other ales.

nice! don't bother aging the kbs, it's better fresh, like most coffee beers.
