just had a 2003 Stone Russian Imperial Stout.   definitely the most aged beer i've ever had in my life.  pretty amazed at how well that beer can hold up
[close]

No oxidation? I had an '01 Old Crustacean Ale and needless to say it succumbed pretty badly to killer Oxygen

it tasted solid to me.  the chocolatey notes were really prevalent.

it was at a Stone tasting event, and on tap.  not sure if they aged in the keg or what.

also, somehow it didn't seem to loose too much alcohol because i got pretty tanked that night (but that could have had to do more with other tastings)

they just bottled it like a month ago.  I don't think you can get it anywhere outside the brewery yet

I would like to get some but for me Sucaba is their barrel-aged champ

Fuck yeah.  I've been hoping someone on here could get their hands on some Prairie brew.  My homie does the labels and his brother is the brew master.  You have to get your hands on BOMB.  Best stout I've ever had, and two 12oz. bottles will tear you up at 14% ABV.  'Merica happens to be one of the only ones I haven't tried.

Recently had a Deschutes, North Coast, and Rogue collaboration beer.  Class of '88 Barley Wine.  I remember it being delicious as fuck.  We don't get Deschutes here in Tulsa, so I was hyped to try it.

And Floop, props on being able to hoard beer.  If it's in my house, I have to drink it.  Alcohol doesn't have a very long shelf life in my home.

I'm down with Estrella and Mahou but used to live next to the Alhambra factory, so my allegiances lie there.

Sampled the Velvet Merkin on tap tonight! it was super smooth for a stout, would like to have a whole glass next time, got a Dogfish Head Chateau Jiahu and shared it with my lady, super sweet but no aftertaste. the dude told us its a 9000 year old recipe with Hawthorne flower honey and cardamom and some other shit I think? I liked it but probably wouldn't spend too much money on it. also sampled that coconut IPA it tasted hella good but had like no coconut flavor, which isn't a bad thing to me.

Some of the better stuff I've had lately:

Left Hand Milk Stout (I'm all about the Nitro Tap when now I'm out at a bar. Makes the beer tastes great.)

Heavy Seas Siren Noire (Another Nitro)

R.J.  Rocker Gruntled Pumpkin Beer (7.0 ABV - pretty good for a pumpkin)

Green Flash Imperial IPA

Rodenbach Grand Cru (Great sour beer - had it on tap recently)

i've always liked Buffalo Trace.  great stuff for a decent price.   same for Bulleit.  can find at Trader Joe's for around 20

someone got me a bottle of Woodford Private Reserve recently and it's amazing.  that will be more like 30 but worth it if it's a special occasion

If floppy doesn't want those toes, I'll take them.  I don't need a new set, but it never hurts to have a back up set.

And after years of only having Coors Light at the liquor store, they finally carry the real deal Banquet shit.  That and Rolling Rock are my go to domestics.
