Get ready, it's almost One In A Million time again! Our annual contest that sheds light on the unsponsored and shop-sponsored rippers out there is getting ready to roll- after the Top 10 go up on the site and get whittled down, this year the five finalists (as determined by votes from you, the SLAP Pals) will be flown out to San Francisco for a week of skating in one of the best cities on the planet, and meet up with guest pros who will be judges, tour guides and challenge makers. The winner will receive a full SLAP interview, an honorary one-time pro model plus a year's worth of flow from all the sponsors of the contest- Zero, Spitfire, Nike SB, Independent, Volcom and Lucky.

if you shred and are on these boards, we want to see an entry from you! we want this to be the sickest and biggest year yet. don't worry about it being a "contest", just do it for fun. you never know what could come of it- good times for sure, plus two of the five past winners are now fully sponsored guys (jake donnelly on real and kevin coakley on blueprint) and the other three are all getting regular flow. the week in SF is going to be really cool, we've got a lot planned already, so c'mon and enter!

Question. How strict are you guys going to be on the "One minute of footy" deal. I'm editing down a few friend's footy and I'd feel like I'd be doing them no justice cutting certain clips. Is 1:05 alright, maybe even 1:10?

open world-wide, but if you live somewhere super far off from here and our budget doesn't like the price of your plane ticket be ready to kick in if you wanna make it happen. we'd love to see people from all over throw some competition out!
