if when you first started skating you pushed mongo, then pushing switch is the easiest thing in the world. that's how it was like for me. all you gotta do from there is transition to pushing regular and you're hooked up.

Pushing sw mongo for the most part does NOT cut it anymore IMO. My friends always make a gross face when watching vids and someone does it. Their are quite a few exceptions to this, steveis sw mongo push is NOT one of them. I adore stevie, but not his pushes.

At 1min and 15sec, always thought that was a pretty good sw mongo push.

there are few things i'd rather have than a really good switch push, but alas i've never had one i felt good about. when i'm just skating around i push switch, but when i'm really trying to do get speed to do something switch i go switch mongo. the philly dudes always epitomized good switch pushing to me and i believe they referred to switch mongo as "piss pedaling" back in the day. that always made me feel even worse about it.

same. I'm goofy footed and pushed with my right foot for several years (88-90). Then I saw it on video and it looked so bad (Bill Danforth bad) and learned to push with my left foot. Never switch mongo pushed in my life.

agreed. I've seen dudes try their hardest to push switch, and they just end up looking like regular flamingos. They aren't fooling anybody. Just accept the fact that switch mongo pushing is here to stay and get on with your life.

....on the other hand, regular mongo pushing sucks.

the one thing though about pushing with your back foot is you can set up quicker for sure, so mongo IS a handicap. i suck at switch but i ppush mongo for fakie. it seems to make a lot mroe sense if you are going fakie also, technically you are using your "back foot" to push, so then you can set up actually quicker in mongo in this case.
