They've been fighting that park since before it opened. All the people there moved next to a park, and its apartments, not condos. They don't own their own spot, let alone the lot across the street.
How does this get press when eminent domain is used to build freeway lines and freight train lines through poor neighborhoods all the time?
Such typical LA bullshit, the smallest thing on the west side is like 911 times 100 (That's right, 91100), but serious problems in South LA and East LA get ignored as unfixable. If you look at the public facilities in different parts of the same city, its hard not to feel nauseous. This city is so fucked up.
Also, how exactly does shortening hours stop people from coming to the park late at night? I know, next let's raise the drinking age to 25 to stop weed dealers!
