I don't know if were just being closed minded, however 150?? Damn! To me thats just street wear stuff. I can ignore that. What was more disappointing to me, was seeing the new Berle shoe. The dude skates Authentics and the Old Skools. I remember seeing him at a demo, and he was rocking the original canvas Old Skools (irrelevant considering this was 3-4 years ago). Would have been cool to see them doing something with a similar silhouette or I don't know. If thats seriously what he wanted, then cool.

Sometimes its best to just give guys color ways, because from what I've read, they don't make much on dud pro shoes. I think it bums me out, because Berle to me, fits on Vans 100%. When I think Berle, I think of the classic shoes, and when I think of classic Vans, I think about which color way am I going to get next.

Looks like they are trying to create this classic/futuristic shoe for AVE. I can appreciate it, but it's hard to think Vans as a tech shoe company. Thats not why I think about buying Vans. If I considered a tech shoe, I'd think of the big sports dudes, or sole tech. Damn, I got too much time on my hands/

Never bothered with this before cause the swoosh doesn't bother me on nikes but some of these lakai silhouettes actually do look pretty sick, plus aside from adidas it's hard to find shoes in that sweet spot between thin canvas - thin soled bullshit and big poofers that look like if a toddler had tonka truck brand sneaks

The Vans ave look alright, but more tech than the ones we're used too. Definitely a lot more pricier than what we're used too. They're trying to price match nike/new balance prices for tech shoes.

They're working on an updated model from the sample/catalog. Not sure how they'll work out with the translucent sole.
