ah man, that's a weird reissue.  Tilts were my least favorites of any Emerica shoe that I ever had (and I was a huge emerica fan).  I had a pair of the black leather with red accents and even though the sole was the same as the Accel at the time, it felt ridiculously slippery.  Maybe something with the red dye of the rubber made it slicker? I second the hope that they make an 'inspired' redesign and not a straight reissue.

That's a bummer to hear. A lot of people loved them back then (as mentioned one of my favorites and a lot of team riders wore them). The reissue isn't a straight reissue, it's a little updated. I put some samples on yesterday and they felt really good. Stoked for this one.

The tilt is actually my all time favorite Emerica shoe. The toe box was perfect for kickflips in my opinion, plus I loved watching Herman and leo skate them in kids in Emerica tour video.

Tilts had the option of lace protectors like current dunks. They were tanks. I'd love a slimmed down version like the accel slim

Romero Laced, Americana, Spanky and both Figgys are all comparable to Accel Slim. There isn't a more supportive cupsole in the collection now that Reynolds G6 is out.

You aint lyin. There has been no real progression from them at all. While every other brand is at least trying new shit, they just stay stale. Can't comment on their quality, but they just do not have my attention.

I mean yeah they have their "evergreen" product they always have, like that simple high top or the Manchester vulc. But then they try new models a couple times a year.

It's like how Nike always has Dunks and Blazers and Bruins and sprinkles in new models, or Vans with their Pro Classics and then occasionally stuff like the Kyle Walker wafflecup or the new AVE come out.

I have a pair of brown/gum Atlantic's I'm going to start skating in a week or so, I'm excited to try them out.

I really with they would rerelease the Telford, hi and low, all premium suede, gum soles. That would be the best thing they could do in my opinion.

It’s strange that lakai can’t figure out that vulcs shouldn’t make up the majority of their catalog in 2020. I think they did great with Tony Hawk’s shoe, and Riley’s slip on isn’t bad for what it is but they have a heritage/ legacy that they’re largely ignoring while brands like DC are cashing in on nostalgia

I agree with the XLK. At least I don't think the re-issue of the sort of Carroll 1 OG doesn't use it. Since I will definitely getting those.

I would suggest they might as well drop an OG form of the Fade and Worthy models. As well as a real cupsole drop of the staple, since they only dropped a vulc one a few years ago,

After a few sessions in the Manchester XLK, my feet and knees were killing me. I switched back to my Sheffields and felt I had more support and stability in them and they are stretched out, floppy, thin vulcs. Another shitty pair of shoes I wasted money on.

I have a pair of XLK Guy Mariano's from several years ago I just took out and they somehow have worse padding than regular vans. My feet hurt from bailing on flat. Is that how XLK is now?
I was stoked because they're so flexible but I'd honestly feet better in a pair of Authentics.
