Damn they made that copa nationale sole all black instead of grey.   Ruins it enough for me that I might go for the original colorway

I actually really like this one! Might order it too as a more neutral option... kinda stoked on this shoe at the moment. Gonna try to do a socially distanced sesh this week just to try them out and see if they feel good on the board.

It’s weird that their site product images still show the the grey.  Reminds me how they swapped out the Arto NM# from the advertised version to an all suede version.  That one hurt the most

Sizing on the Figueroa TTS? i.e. the same as Reynolds G6/ SB Dunk/ NB# NM440?
It's hard to say obviously with everyones foot being different shapes and what not but in every Emerica I wear it's always been TTS and those fit the riders that have been asking for them in their usual size. Hope that helps.

I skated multiple pairs in a row and I'd say they fit pretty true, maybe just a tad more snug in the toes/forefoot due to a more low profile toebox. Loved that shoe. Had both these colorways being re-released, and those brown/gum were my favorites.

New colors

Oh. I'll just buy and wear this Predator one then. Same as I bet Mike Arnold does. Although his come for free.

(I did also say just pick better colors for the details. The turquoise and lime is an awful pairing, let's be honest.)

And like the other guy said: for the checks.

I guess they are finally coming out with the OG color and I hope the same shape as them. They look much nicer than the pros that are out now.
[close]

Not trying to prove anyone wrong here, but just want to point out that the current shape of the Classic Half Cab is not the OG shape. The shape changed a lot around 12-13 years ago when Vans changed factories. Before that the Half Cab had a much wider shape and toe, sort of like looking down at a SK8-Hi. Then they got more pointy. I prefer the ones from before the change. Still have a pair kicking around that I wear sometimes.

Not sure which version is more similar to how they would have been in the early 90s or whatever though. Old photos they look kinda pointy too.

It probably has changed a lot from then to now. I just prefer the pointy ‘92 shape as opposed to a wider sk8-hi toe area like you said.

Can we all just agree that the current Half Cab Pro shape is garbage?
I swear Vans is using the same last for all their shoes, that's why the current half cabs look all flat and long like slip-on pros do.
Remember that photo of Reynolds with his banana-foot half cab pros?

I've been wearing half cabs on and off since the 90's, and I swear every goddamn time I get them they have a completely different shape. Even in the same season I remember having a white leather pair, and a black suede pair and they had completely different shapes.

It's so stupid that it's funny that Es Accels and Half Cabs are two of the more iconic skate shoes and they've both had their shapes changed so many times with no notice.

I've been having such a shoe crisis because I can't rely on half of the brands sizing now days.

It's definitely different. Not trying to be bias or anything but I tried them on when we first got them in and the tongue is great. Because of the fish tail shape it actually wraps around your ankle perfectly.

I'm saying they do not give any notice to the consumer that the product is changing at all.
Even when brand upgrade their insoles, they usually announce it.
I guess they wouldn't want to say "Hey, we changed your favorite shoe because it's cheaper to produce this way".
Accels and Half Cabs are notorious for changing fit, shape, and puffiness from season to season.

Are the “reserve” line meant to be lifestyle shoe
or they are built for skating as well?

There really isn't a distinct definition for Reserve. It is more lifestyle based but people have skated them including the Nathan Omen Hi's. It's just something for us to do thats out of the box and fun to do with other skaters or people we're stoked on.

Hmm my understanding is that the Club Gear Vans release has been postponed.

Also you would think a shop that seems to be only shoes would have better lacing practices.

Re-release the Templeton desert boots so I can have a back-up pair. I love those shoes so much. My far my favorite of the Reserves that I have.

It’s very subpar just like the color way. At least throw on a heel tab to mix things up.
