I normally skate cupsoles, but the Michelin cupsole doesn't have a lot of boardfeel, so I think this could be the perfect solution. Stoked to see them in person.

If my eyes aren't deceiving me, Justin's shoe (before he is Pro for Quasi, no less) is the Style 36 with a toe cap.
I wonder if  they're making this on the PRO last w/ Pop Cush or on the Classic last with a thinner Ultracush that other classic Style 36's have.
Edit: watched the video and saw that it's likely on the PRO last.

Also, I like the shoe and his purpose behind it, as well as his skating, so I'm happy to see good things coming to him!

anyone have a vans catalog? curious if they discontinued those rowley rapidwelds. I kinda enjoyed them and wouldn’t mind another pair.

I think I’ve seen the Vans catalog from this fall to next spring and all I remember were the Rowley classics.

I would like more of the Rowley Rapiweld pro, had two pairs of the asphalt ones. Good shoes.

Some of the Li-Ning shoes are cool looking for sure. And EE is cool to me, quite. Heard the company put down the Hong Kong protests, significantly, so I kinda crossed them off of the list to support. Maybe vans did to tho now that I try and remember, and most of my shoes are vans rn. Fuck.

He's been wearing the Li-Nings for a year or year and a half now, I saw some pictures of him at a tradeshow at their booth. Not sure what's going on there..

I feel like this is taking that whole "Hesh 2 Fresh" thing a bit too far.

I'm 4 sessions into the Spanky G6, and I think the shoe has reached it's sweet spot, which still isn't very sweet. The suede is wearing down in spots but I still feel like I want to microwave the crap out of the shoe and break in this plasticy cupsole. The pour-in G6 midsole is covered with a tough fabric and bound to the sole so tightly, that there's no discernible feeling of cushion beneath your foot. The simple, cushion-less construction lends itself to folds, creases, and pressure points when walking and skating. Like an expensive pair of leather dress shoes, you can feel quality in the materials, but it is not reflected in comfort or athletic performance of the shoe.

Sorry you're having such a finicky time with the spankys. My pair just felt awesome out of the box. Maybe it's warmer here but the shoes just felt broken in after a session and the sole was the perfect amount of squish for me in the g6 midsole.

I've had 10 pairs of the Reynolds g6 and they all felt a little different (I've had both the experiences listed above) - I think that's just what happens when you have a slightly lower QC mixed with pouring liquid foam into a shoe and shipping it overseas across the globe. Some are squishier than others.

Kook me to hell if ya like, but those Jack Purcells look like hot garbage. The white/red are okay but that blue and yellow is hideous.

I also think the JP silhouette is so awkward looking. They just don't look good to me, no matter the colorway.
