Hope those leather insoles are removable so everyone can throw them in the garbage after their feet marinate in a bath of sweat and are covered in blisters 20 minutes after putting them on. The thickness/texture on the laces is a nice detail - hate the thin smooth bois that every brand uses now.

These sort of look like an Era Pro fucked a Simple and skidoo'd outta there to avoid being responsible for this child.

Major lace breakage prediction with the toebox being that short and the laces coming down that far.
I really like the green ones, but as other people said it's pretty much a plain ass shoe.

I think choosing a bold logo would be just as difficult as no almost no branding on the shoe to start a new brand with, but they could definitely use something to stand out... and I don't mean leather insoles.
It would be great if the shoes are worth the price, considering my experience with the few other small brand skate shoe companies haven't been outstanding.

The whole point of those shoes are that they are plain, functional and have no logos. Wouldn't mind trying them but as far as skater owned vulc shoes go i'll stick to backing State for now.

sus, funny you say that because, despite not seeing much resemblance between the mock up and the club c, Emerica is set to release a shoe that my friend dubbed “the emericlub c”



I couldn’t find images of the whole shoe, so far I’ve seen a black suede with gum sole in addition to the all white.

It’s a reissue of The Gamma. Personally I love the design but I can for sure see where my homie is coming from, especially with that little logo window that Reebok is so known for. Wish I could find that image of the black suede gamma reissue with gum soles. It’s nice.

P.s. arto, your designs are great, let’s get that shoe design thread poppin again and leave this thread for upcoming shoe releases.

I love the last resort aesthetic but we need a cup! 

Gotta say. I’ve never skated a shoe with a leather liner but I can’t imagine I would like it.

Would love to hear from anyone who grabs a pair of the vulcs they are putting out.

This shoe looks good tho. Leather and cup? For me, a leather court shoe is what I want. I’d be down to try other materials, I just like the structure of a leather shoe best.

The logo stinks, but I don't think the shoes look that bad otherwise. When I saw the stitching, I thought they were cupsoles and got excited; but according to their site, they're just vulcs with stitching on the foxing for some reason. Their site says their deal is using more sustainable production methods and paying their factory workers a living wage. I like that stuff if it's true. But I'm not sure how much I believe the sustainability story with vulcs - I'm not aware of a production method for vulcanized shoes that isn't bad for the environment. As far as I can tell, you can only buy them direct on their site (not at skate shops), which I also don't care for.

I don’t really remember bc I wasn’t that scandalized by the change but I believe it was something about Vans Vulcs have more support than emericas (he also seems to skate new AVEs a lot) and he doesn’t skate high impact stuff anymore.  I think it’s in one of his first interviews talking about the change over

Idk I think Vans look good on everyone since they have that timeless look. Plus Reynolds has a simple style clothing-wise, so I think he rocks them properly.
