These look great! I have another pair of Adidas with that sole and it's probably too thin for me to skate.
Hopefully these aren't too limited, seems like people aren't lining up for any of the "vintage" Busenitz models and you can find them still.

Damn dream come true with them putting this style out again, hopefully they keep it in the line-up this time... the Busenitz would be basically the only shoe I skate but the normal sole on em is so miserable.

Anyone know when these come out?

There have been a bunch of post saying the Crocketts are too hard to make in the factory for some reason. So that’s no surprise to me. Just seems weird they did that one piece toe / change just to get one colorway. Maybe just maybe a Crockett 3 for the inconvenience 🤷

gilbert high getting any sort of "one-piece toe" treatment? leather pops on those white/green ones are pretty cool.

also did they change anything else in repsect to construction to make it part of the skate line? the vans tag at the ankle appears to have a tonal checkerboard.

My pair felt amazing but the mesh near the toe developed a whole within a week of walking in them. I don't know if it's just the way my toes bend while walking or what but I can't justify getting another pair for the price despite it feeling and skating pretty good. The internal shank in the sole felt really good and made my feet feel pretty safe.

I don’t think the AVE’s grip is worse than any other cupsole’s once you break them in. I think to the touch, the sole feels different (a little softer and kinda sticky?), but I couldn’t tell much of a difference between it and other cupsoles after a few sessions.

Not sure if its just that the FA ones have more mesh spots on them than say one of the full suede models, but I kind of fucking hated them after a little... the boardfeel was great, the flick was great, but I busted my feet up constantly because of how under-protective they were . I could see loving these shoes if they were a little beefier, and even though this is extremely unlikely, if they made a hightop version I would probably grab a dozen pairs.
