Sorry but you are not allowed to view spoiler contents.

They look the same but they use a different rubber and it’s thinner. I’m 100% positive, they feel different and if u hold them side by side the shell on the skates are not as bulky as the originals. Buy both pairs and compare yourself but it is 100% fact that they look the same but use different materials and have slight variations between the two. They even look different in the pics you posted, they are minor differences but the difference is more obvious when you have them side by side in person.

You don’t have to agree with me but I do use these products a lot and pay very close attention to detail. If u were to skate both you would notice these difference even more. The ADV sole has better board feel and grip because it’s thinner and uses a softer rubber but gets floppier faster than the originals. Where as the original soles are thicker but will last longer and hold their shape longer than the ADV.

Have you ever skated both pairs and compared them?

I'm 100% positive that you dont know what you're talking about mate. I dont need to skate or own both pairs to know, I literally work in this shit and what you're trying to argue just doesn't even make any sense. Why in the hell would Adidas make a full size run of new toolings, that would be a huge investment, for virtually no fucking difference?!
You also literally presented 0 facts and only subjective bullshit. The whole "I feel that they are more flexible, they have more boardfeel" is some Placebo ting in your brain cause they are, I fact, the same.
...

I was in a skate trip this last few days, and couldn't check the adidas system that's on my work computer, but I'm finally home and I just proven what I was 99.9% sure since the beginning. They dont only feature the same outsole, they also use the same rubber compound. The. Same. Molds; The. Same. Components; The. Same. Supplier. There's no fucking difference between them. And it's the same case between the new Stan Smith ADV vs regular Stan Smith, or the Forum 84 vs Forum ADV. Same outsole (or "tooling" like we call it) with an updated upper/insole. That's how they been updating the classics for skateboarding.

I also don't give a shit about what Ted Degros says, he's not only not an expert in footwear, he also literally just said he doesn't even have a pair of the regular ones to compare, lol.

Another point you got wrong is the insole, it ain't EVA (it would pack out). It's some kind of molded low density PU insole (it does not pack out).

But honestly, I dont even know why the fuck I'm wasting my time arguing this. Jokes on me I guess.

So yeah for anyone who cares, there are differences between the superstar adv sole and the originals superstar sole. After skating both I can say with certainty that the advs are softer than the originals.

Imagine trying to come at skatan about adidas .
Maybe you haven’t been here long enough but the dude is a talented ass shoe designer who knows his shit . I actually have a pair of shoes he designed and we talk pretty regular about shoe production and stuff . The man is serious about his craft and educates everyone he talks to about it in a way that makes you feel like you too work at Adidas . Which clearly this other dude doesn’t.

looks like they saw people complaining about the clear sole, and decided to say "fuck you" and make the whole shoe clear ala blondey/blodney

Never had a pair, but the ones I’ve seen didn’t have that waffle grip/diamond pattern that I’m guessing is an interior support thing that the wayvee has (like the Projext BA).   Thought it might be an update 2.0 version of the current model

I'm currently skating a pair of the AVE Pros and they are not exactly the same shoe, most probably an AVE Pro 1.5 version. The Toe box has a different shape and the upper has another design too.

I can't get why they keep with the mesh on the upper, I skated the shoes 3-4 times and they have a hole already.

I can't just post here internal info about it cause "common sense" but that would shut him down pretty quick.
It does get me really triggered when people keep insisting on stuff I'm 100 sure about. I wasn't even trying to drop the "trust me bro, I work at Adidas" card, cause I think it's wack, but well, it seems that not even that is enough for him.

Right cause u have access to every single batch of shoes that has ever been made by the company, that doesn’t make sense to me seeing that there are thousands of batches of shoes being produced. You know how I know ur full of shit? The ADV says it’s made in Indonesia and the original says it’s made in Vietnam. Two different factories, so yeah your magic work computer at home is not correct.

I’m not being subjective, I’m actually using the product and asking people around me to see what they think. But if u want to just say your right go ahead but the tags on the shoes don’t lie, they come from different places

Dude, You're absolutely fucking stupid. So you think that 1 single factory can produce 10+ million pairs of superstars a season or wtvr it is that Adidas makes?! it's the biggest selling shoe from the company. That would be humanly possible and not even smart in case of something going wrong. it's production its spread from all over Asia, but the molds used are the same, the compounds are the same! It comes from the same suppliers. Just because the shoe says "made in Vietnam" or "made in China" doesn't mean that all the components were made there, the supply chain is huge and international. Fucking Prada Superstar is made in Italy with expensive ass Italian Leather but the tooling comes from Indonesia, the same one used in Blondey' Superstars, just as an example.
And actually, side note, those 2 use the only other version of the superstar outsole still in production, the "superstar 80s" which is slimmer, pointier and has a heavier texture to it to look more "vintage' than the regular one used in all the other models, like the ADV, the Pro Model, the Laceless, or the Kader one too!! (yes, I checked it too).

Do you even know what PDM is? That's the magical internal system in my wizard MacBook that keeps track of all the components, suppliers, densities, compounds, etc... Employees use it to have factual information when producing footwear, you know, like any other Multi million dollar company has.  ::)

So as I already pointed out, your different experience with both shoes doesn't come form the outsole, it comes from all the other factors in the upper that I already pointed out. A shoe can feel a lot more flexible when you have different padding, different leather/suede, different lining, etc... That or you just have some defective shoes or old ass superstars, like the Superstar RT, that use an older version of the tooling.

To conclude: Thanks for asking those reliable experts around you, like that really informative youtube video of Ted Degros, but you have no clue of what you're talking about, never worked in the business, never seen a fucking tech pack in your life, etc... I would say just take the L but the L is on me for wasting my time with you. What an absolute moron, Jesus.

There’s gunna be variations in production when you have hundreds of factories worldwide. Thats just a logistical fact.  Buy both pairs and compare yourself because I’m not the only person who is saying this.

Also I’m not coming at skatan, he’s coming at me with no real research on the topic. He hasn’t owned or skated a pair and we just gotta take his word because he says so. Very interesting
I’m just coming to a thread and giving my two cents on what I’ve experienced and what others have experienced in the actual use of the product.

Just take the goddamn wallet and let's move on, Patrick.

Pretty classic internet debate imo, ”I know things has to be this way b/c I feel so vs. cold facts”  ;D

I just need to learn to not argue with hard headed people, but I always do. Oh well...

But if u want to just say your right but the tags on the shoes don’t lie, they come from different places
