in this case, it being simple is good, but looking at the top shoe's sole where the toe bumper starts, it looks like part of it either wasnt glued in the right place or the sole is pushed down farther than the sides go. just looks off

On the topic of the Berle and Nora comparison, proportion-wise, the Vans look far more natural and foot shaped compared to the Adidas. They do look pretty similar, but not totally. Denying there being no similarity is just being blind to it.

Adidas tend to be narrow looking/fitting and really flat from what I've seen/owned. All the matchcourt models fit narrow, yet boxy for this exact reason.

Berle's were botched by some awkard paneling meets unnecessary rubber on a weird sole. If they lost the toe rubber, used the drop-in popcush (instead of that stupid stitched in ultimate waffle thing) and put some damn padding in the tongue and collar (something closer to a KWalks/Dunk/Marana) they could have been way better.

Good for Nora and I hope they sell well regardless!! They look better in darker colors to me, rather than the two light colors already posted.

Definitely one where saying the shoes don't look alike is actually off-base - there's definitely a commonality. IMO the Nora's look wildly better than the Berle's I think because of Adidas's sporty nature - the less chunky looking sole, the way the Vans look really stiff, the colors and materials I guess all make the Nora look comfy and light while the Berle looks like a weird mess.

I'm all for constructive criticism and those Globes are not even in my realm of purchase possibilities but so we forget these shoes are for skating in. Like I know myself and many others wear skate shoes as chillers and for the look down effect, but these Austyn Globes and the Emerica Vulcanos? are two types of shoes that have the extra rubber aesthetic that the shoes are specifically made for skating in and not as chillers. So as a skate shoe to just strictly skate in I think they hit the nail on the head. As chillers or just walking around... Toss them in the trash bin.

I'm thinking maybe because the upper itself has very little to it structure wise it might help the shoe stay kinda solid. Stop your foot just moving around all over the place

i believe ftc has been selling them for a while. from japan afaik.

they have other models, but all look very bulky. i think jameel douglas rides for them.

Yeah they've been going in Japan for maybe 15 years. A friend got a pair I got to see in person and yes they are pretty bulky. The sole is still the same as it was in 2012/13 ish and it's pretty thick. Kinda surprised they're going international I think they only do pretty small runs.
