Some hi lakais.

Anyone know if the atlantic sole feels any different from the more simple xlk sole? The simple xlk sole on the telfords is paper thin, and it's been tricky trying to find an insole that doesn't take up too much room.

One : I’m not a fan of the small flare in the middle. Keep the big one or move it to the heel panel . Two: the Atlantic xlk is way stiffer according to my friend who’s skated both and hated the Telford original sole. Maybe try an find one their good insoles from the riley 2 and similar shoes they seemed to add a lot of structure to the sole compared to the insoles they use in other shoes

This is the pinnacle of Janoski colorways.
Cappuccino with the leather laces.

Highly doubtful the leather laces will also make a comeback. Those cost a lot more than regular cotton/synthetic laces. The piping however is non negotiable. When they removed it the shoe looked really “cheap” if that makes any sense. Wouldn’t mind a pair of Janoski Mids again.

Asics skate has been posting new colourways on reworked classics daily. Pretty excited for the North American release of these.

The Proto/Atlantic XLK sole is a bit stiffer than the original Telford/Brighton sole. Once broken in it’s really nice and I’m glad they switched the Atlantic sole onto the Telfords (I’m on my second pair now). The benefit to the “Simple XLK” sole is that it breaks in like a vulc shoe while still having better support than a vulc. That’s most likely why Cody and Griffin are using it because they skate vulcs.

There’s also another bulkier XLK sole that’s used on the Fade, Evo 2.0 XLK, Trudger, and the new MOD Cup. You could throw in any insole and it will make them even better (Footprint, Es Insole, Dr Scholls ect).
