Anyone know if the atlantic sole feels any different from the more simple xlk sole? The simple xlk sole on the telfords is paper thin, and it's been tricky trying to find an insole that doesn't take up too much room.

The Proto/Atlantic XLK sole is a bit stiffer than the original Telford/Brighton sole. Once broken in it’s really nice and I’m glad they switched the Atlantic sole onto the Telfords (I’m on my second pair now). The benefit to the “Simple XLK” sole is that it breaks in like a vulc shoe while still having better support than a vulc. That’s most likely why Cody and Griffin are using it because they skate vulcs.

There’s also another bulkier XLK sole that’s used on the Fade, Evo 2.0 XLK, Trudger, and the new MOD Cup. You could throw in any insole and it will make them even better (Footprint, Es Insole, Dr Scholls ect).

These look great, the trudger xlk was a bit better/thicker than the telfords IIRC. hopefully codys shoe doesnt use the one from the telford. Fuck i want Lakai to be good so badly. I would gladly support them if they got it right and made good shoes.

Profit margin has to be large on that shoe, there isn't anything to it. Maybe they are taking the new sole tech route. Making everything $120+ and marking it down to $60-80 a few months later.

even in the US, without any exchange rate, they are more expensive than the Tiagos! I don't see anyone paying full retail for those. Soon enough there will be at least a 20% of sale at CCS and anywhere else they're sold.

Yeah, it's hard to justify it when I could buy five axion shoes for the same price. I'm just starting to calculate everything by the axion ratio.

I would never advocate for a C1RCA relaunch, but man would a CM901 reissue be amazing. Muska’s éS shoe is nice and all, but I will always love that C1RCA design.
