I'd rather throw my money at whatever NB brings out or just another pair of Adidas. Inflation is one thing, but $100 for a basic hi-top vulc shoe is absurd. Vans had to lower all their prices back to pre-pandemic levels just to get people to buy again. Like every model, just wait until they go on sale for over 50% off in a month.

VFC is hurting right now. If you go to any of their brands sites (Supreme excluded), they all have huge "sale" sections. Retail overall has been taking a hit. On paper you would think their portfolio would kill it, especially with back to school just happening.

Honestly every Vans cupsole should just be on the Fairlane sole. That's the best shoe in their line and they ain't doing anything with it.



That would be the only acceptable sole for a cupsole Half Cab as well in my opinion.

No they've released them within the last year, they definitely have the mold. I'm just saying it's a super good shoe, heritage model, and on trend with current styles and they're not pushing it at all. Lost opportunity for sure.

I had a former colleague that worked there until last month and I had offers from VF a few times for various Data Science roles. One of those roles involved forecasting demand and price optimization and I declined because it was apparent how utterly clueless every person I interviewed with, including the division VP. Basically, they were incapable of actually analyzing historical sales data and forecasting demand and had no insight into their actual inventory. They were primarily relying on realllllly out of date manual reports and "business knowledge" to make product line decisions.

It sounds like they still have no clue that their goods aren't selling and/or their inventory is way higher than demand.

Last year in February as a VCU colorway (No Zumiez ect.) We have them at my local and no one picked them up just in case anyone's still looking.

Winter '22 for the black leather and Winter '23 for the Brown IIRC. I think the brown was originally supposed to be a Reynolds color way but changed to VCU when he left to NB#.

For the record, I’m not judging either.   I would just have a hard time actually wearing them and not keeping them in a glass case
