Pretty much what we should have expected. lakai is becoming HUF Shoes 2.0
At some point, HUF and Lakai were made in the same shoe factory(ies?) sooo not too far off in that assessment lol
Always surprised Huf went the alt-Cons route it did. I would have expected Huf to pursue a more sporty/tech Axion style shoe, but maybe that just wasn’t on trend enough
EDIT: My bad for derailing the thread and using bandwidth for my shoe nerdery tangent!
I also think Keith was savvy enough to see that they could make semi-timeless silhouettes, as well as popular (though dated) designs that sold well.
Those early Hufnagel 1 and 2.0 (I think) were definitely some sportier tech meets classic, but modern cupsole styles. I'll try to find a photo or two for reference. More of those models would have been cooler (to me) over the route that they did go.
I also enjoyed the Soto from them visually but never owned a pair, sadly.
