grasshopper, cats, mystics.

i bought a lot of ipaths. had the shoes been made out of better materials, that would have been nicer.
the suede grasshoppers, especially in navy, were too good. that’d be my only shoe. i’d be fine with that.
i liked skating in the cats as well.

they had great designs. yes ripping off a jordan 1, and then a wallabee, qualifies as great imo

Everyone looked cool in the black leather Grasshopper. Back in the old days before e-com was the internets whole purpose(2006ish) I-Path would sell them for like $25 a pair shipped on their website. The soles would go bald within 3 weeks, but at that price it didn't matter. Never got to try Travelers or Yogi's even though I always wanted them

I inexplicably purchased the Rasta Grasshoppers.   That has never remotely been my style and it still baffles me what I was thinking. 

Would have loved the Kenny Reed pro models back in the day

I had the 1985s in navy blue suede/grey sole and they some of the best skate shoes I’ve owned. The only Ipaths I owned but they were almost indestructible.

This is probably the only nostalgia skate shoe rerelease I would purchase, even if they’re terrible.  Need those black leather grasshoppers and black suede cats.

Shanahan had a similar Metric top with an OG cupsole i dont remember, so its more of a colourway

i've never had the koston 2, i started skating way later and i've never experienced these puffy shoes first hand. i've seen them in pictures and on video but that's it.

i'm not the target for this reissue either, i skate vulcs and sometimes thin cupsoles.

as far as i can tell it's very similar to the original but has a different sole, which to me looks like it would skate better than the original sole. it's probably slimmer, which some people might not like, but the koston 2 is a much better upper for this sole than the koston 3. that k3 semi-reissue looked awful, but this one kinda works. i understand that most of you want the reissues to be true to the original, but it's been said here that sole tech's not doing all that well and it's probably the best they could do.

I don't even remember the og Koston 2's being that great to skate in. I had the blue and white ones and I remember them feeling like platform shoes with zero board feel.

A not so funny story is that I wanted these so bad when they first came out (the originals) and I was working at a shop at the time so I got them at cost.  I put them on and instantly felt pain in the back of my heels/lower achilles tendon area.  I was like nah, they'll break in.  I thought they looked so good that they were worth the bit of pain to break in.  Fast forward to a couple of days later and I couldn't wear shoes for a week because of how bad the holes in the back of my heels were.  I've never had shoes make me bleed more.  Good times

I mean IDK if this would affect the fit of the shoe, but if the back didn't go inwards so much, and stood more straight up, it would look 100 times better. I'd have to see an on foot picture to REALLY see if I want these or not. This picture looks like it's  triangle shaped which is not a good look imo.

Not remaking the original soles for any of their Koston shoes, which were the most requested reissues. Go figure..
Even worse with k2 since they had the sole of the 2012 Ellipse which would have been perfect to put on it.

I skated the Ellipse back then, wish I still had a pair. The evant sole does look better on that koston 2 remake than the evants. I guess it will do but man they shoulda brought back that sole they used on the Ellipse

When eS first came back, it seemed like they were dropping a bunch of really interesting and unique models that weren’t just sole swaps and reissues, but they went in a different direction. Is that just me misremembering?
