all of these companies employ people that are way smarter than i. i am not smart.
one of the many ways i know i am not smart, is that i cannot get it thru my thick, dumb skull that it’s better for these core companies to produce many, mediocre models, instead of heavily heavily investing in making let’s say, 3, really good models.
i guess it’s all just lightening in bottle attempts.

Colorways are clean, but they say it was a 2.5 year development process working with different parts of Vans to make a shoe as close to the ones in the 90's...

Just ordered, will be interested to see how all those details come together.  colors aren't anything 'new' but IMO pretty tasteful

Sure Converse has been doing it for a couple years there, but Vans did it in like 2002 with the Carver (my parents bought me those instead of the iPaths I wanted in 2003).


And they had a vulc version a surfer bud of mine had maybe in like 2009?


But at the end of the day they are all just referencing the Clarks Wallabee, from the iPath Cats to that Cons shoe to those Vans shoes.

tbh I skated in a pair of clarks desert boots once for like an hour and they skated surprisingly fine. The sole got fucked up tho pretty quick.

i had them in black full grain leather. they took forever and a day to break in. but I remember liking them. he was like my first fav skater back in the day. i really fucked with new deal in the 7 year glitch period.

Yeah, I posted it in the upcoming Vans thread awhile back, but not this one. I was lucky enough to snag a tan/black tongue pair in my size. Had to excuse myself from work to do so because I had a feeling they'd fly, and they did. Not to rub it in. I doubt I got one of the first 100 pairs and the mixtape that comes with, but I think it's just a collection of tracks from skate videos. The insole is made from UltraCush so I'm hoping it'll be easier on my feet than the standard OG half cab insole. Really hyped to skate them.
