He went to vans in 2017. Yeah nb is good now and vans not so much but he got 6 good years in (and could still be good for a while in the future who knows)

Didn’t somebody here state that Axel hasn’t really been skating recently, and was kind of over it?

He still posts skating all the time altho not big rails and shit that he's known for

i thought of the old skool pro sport too, i had a pair of the non-collab black ones, i never wore them much but i always thought they looked pretty sick. it’s cool they’re bringing back that look with the axels. if they were on a wafflecup i would 100% cop for biking.

They're hideous. The vans stripe is generally very unflattering and doesn't do a lot of their shoes any favors

Okay the Etnies Snake is good but they nailed it with this one.







A homie at Etnies told me about this a month or so ago and just sent it over with permission to "leak" it so this is the first official look. Apparently they sent in an original Sal 23 from 1995 to the factory to get it as close to the original as possible. The grip and the logos are all proper. Better than the stubby reissue from 2003. Very hyped on these. Definitely gonna skate a pair of the brown ones.

Might end up doing some archival work for the release so that's how I got the scoop on these ones.

God those Sal 23s are perfect. Skating in all black shoes with white laces just does it for me. Best feeling. I will absolutely be getting a pair or 2.
