Not new, but I saw a local shop to me got in a whole new size run of the Vans Skate skate low shoe, black white, original colourway.

@franc I think had said they discontinued them, so I don't know if this is old stock, or pre order, or they brought them back.

i don't see the boat shoe in the hoefler. similarities don't mean that they look like each other, an old skool doesn't look like a half cab even though both are lace up vulcs

Although I don’t think they are super similar I can see where you’re coming from on that comparison. If Shane rode for Cariuma his promodel would probably look like that tbh.

And I also agree that the shoes themselves don’t look bad at all, but tbf I don’t think any of the Cariumas ever did.
Do I hate the brand? I do! But if you ask my professional opinion they’re well designed, a bit derivative and not breaking any boundaries but the lines make sense with some flair, cleaver bits and not many too pointless details… but does it really matter? We are all just blinded by how wack the logo is and what this brand represents in skateboarding, which will never make one of their shoes look good enough to overlook everything else.

Wild how much better it looks without their dumbass logo lol. The weirdest thing about this shoe is that they use two different kinds of mesh for the side panels and tongue. It wouldn't be too bad if they used mesh for the toe instead of leather too. Just odd decisions to me but I'm also no footwear designer so what the hell do I know.
