Looks like there is also a half cab release for carpet. It's kind of a shame that it's a color way we've already had fairly recently, but kinda cool I guess.

As with everything, depends on your local scene. In addition to the old heads I see lots of Gen Z skaters wearing Half Cabs. Interestingly, around here it seems to be the first choice of a lot of people after getting dropped from Adidas/ Nike/ NB# flow.

The shoe is not the problem, its Vans trying hard to find its Dunk like thats a Team Model. So they keep cycling models every 3 to 4 years gets annoying.

A well done cup low cab would be it.

Make a simple cup, nice foam for the midsole and a pop cush insole.
