This has already been discussed in the Emerica thread but I bought some a while back and they have the pour in G6 midsole even though the marketing materials show it was downgraded. What I’m still confused about is 1. Why is Emerica not marketing these at all when people have been wanting them for years now and 2. Why are they only available at one retailer?

My guess is that either they only have one batch with the G6 midsole that they are quietly selling before releasing it more widely with the EVA or Spanky’s finally leaving and they’re quietly selling off the stock they have before he announces

I met Spanky at Hobans "new part" premier, he said they are coming out next month. (Theres also an all black "Lotties" collab color way coming out the following month) Emerica wanted to push Hobans shoe first From what I gathered they have the same sole as the G6 sole but it doesnt use G6 as a pour in, it uses an EVA material instead. Someone mentioned theres no Spanky in the Fall 2025 catalog, thats where it gets interesting if his contract is up and he finally goes to NB? But then again who knows with Emerica, seems like they are very unorganized right now

Yeah, that makes sense but it’s strange they released them at only 1 shop, months in advance with a different sole than advertised. For what it’s worth, the sole has G6 inscribed in it, so it does seem to be the pour in.

There's a G6 sole design, but that doesn't mean the midsole is the G6 foam formula. Maybe these are, and like you said, they had one run before they changed direction, but they like to reuse sole molds, so maybe they just used the same outsole and different foam.

Yup style 112 I have had a ton of them and skated them a lot in the early 2010's. For me they were a nice alternative to sk8 hi.

Skytop is Muskas greatest hit. Circa is nothing compared to it. But Terry Kennedys first shoes was the craziest one from supra and probably the craziest pro model shoes ever.

It is some sort of mistake that they are available here. The shoes aren't release until around the 24th-26th of this month.

- I like the 112 Mid Pro better because of the toe box and it have not the ugly Vans letting.
The heel part of the Mid skool is better then the 112 Mid pro.

They shoud use both of the shoes as an inspiration and create one proper Mid pro signature model for
Kanfoush, Curren, Roman Pabich or Pero Barros or Delfino.
All of them coud carry and promote a classic signature model pretty well.

For everyone, so there is a definitive answer.

Yes they are the Vans Mid Skool shoe, as per the Skatepark of Tampa listing pic, no longer in stock though.  That shoe was used by Tony Alva or promoted as the ALVA shoe as well at one point.  They were around for quite a long time as a regular shoe, but not in constant supply.  Even this shoe only seemed like a limited release in the Skate range, although they have a Dime version and a couple of others out in recent years too.

Mid Skool = big text across the back

112 and 112 mid = plain back with pull up flap and 112 printed under it.

When he says skate shoe he doesn’t mean an actual skate shoe. I think skate shoes got so widely popular lately that people call skate shoes to anything that has a chunkier shape/silhouette. To me it’s clearly just a lifestyle shoe that loosely resembles some skate shoe characteristics.
It’s like when everyone calls “running shoes” to shoes that are clearly not for running, but have the toe lip and the athletic shape.

( @lamfordie not saying you dont know that, I see the quotes, just that people might be confused when “skate shoes” is mentioned)
